Arrive early, there's always traffic, be loud when the defense is on the field, be quiet when Alex Smith is on the field so everyone can hear him scream "let it roll!!!!!"

I suggest getting there around 10-11 AM.
It's gonna be crowded, be loud while on defense, and don't pay attention to the old guys telling u to be quiet. Scream your lungs out.

So meeting for lunch/breakfast in South SF at 10:30am is not a good idea? 10 am?

Do u have a parking pass? If so, that time is fine. When you pull in, you'll see a long ass line of cars to the left, trying to enter gate one. STAY TO THE RIGHT and go all the way around to GATE 4. There will be no one in line at that gate. Trust me on this!

If you don't have a parking pass, you have to get there before 10 to pay cash at the gate. Or you'll have to park in the exterior parking area which I have no idea how it works.

No I don't have a parking pass. You make it sound like I'm supposed to have one but I've never heard of anything. I don't want to have to go that early just to get a parking pass. How do I get one now???

Don't forget your bullet-proof vest and fast running shoes. Other than that I think you will be fine.
If you are coming from 101 North. Take the first exit (Harney Way) and you can park at any of the exterior parking. Its usually $30 to park. Some are by corporate offices and other by the condos next to the stadium. The parking by the condos are usually pretty good, but you need to get there early to get parking there, otherwise you end up parking along side the hill in dirt lots. Still not bad parking though. You just need to walk a bit. The parking by the corporate spots are in actual parking lots unlike most exterior parking, but you will have to walk a bit further. If your seats are on the south side of the stadium, these parking spots are ideal.

If you are on the north side of the stadium, then I would suggest making a right and going all the way around to the other side of the stadium on Jamestown. And park on the exterior dirt parking lots.

The interior parking requires a parking pass, so its no use trying to park there, unless you can find one on craiglist or something.

If you can help it, don't bring anything into the stadium because they might not let you. I can't remember all the rules because I never take anything in.

Also, BE LOUD ON DEFENSE AND QUIET ON OFFENSE!!

Represent the Niners well and don't be a jackass. It's only football. No need to get in fights and s**t like that.

GO NINERS!
I always take the bus, it is easier and cheaper. I get off right next to my entrance point and its a snap. I have driven a couple of times and hated it.

Yeah, I never have a pass.

I always head straight for the dirt lot. Head all the way over to the left lane and it will loop all the way around. Stay in that left lane, because you will be turning left into the lot. It will feel amost like you are going to far, but there will be a big temporary wooden bridge painted red at the spot that you turn left. you can't miss it.

Its $30 to park.

Thanks. So it sounds like I'll end up on the dirt lot. That's fine with me. But I'm still confused on whether I have time to do lunch/breakfast in South SF and what time I should pull into that dirt lot. I actually called the Stadium Operations just now and the lady made it sound like even those spots fill up fast. So again, what time?

I'm not sure why I need to show up so early like at 10am. It seems like we'd be walking around the park with nothing to do. Plus gates don't open until 11 anyway.

I've been to NBA games and 30 minutes early was plenty of time. I'm not sure why Candlestick is any different, plus it's a bigger venue. I just want to know what most people usually do. I don't want to try to be a maverick and end up w/o a parking space or be late to the game. But I also don't wanna be super early and have to twiddle my thumbs. Thanks again,

OK ALSO - if I have to go so early, then why when they show it on TV and pan the stadium like 30 minutes beforehand, the stands are all empty???

Are you telling me to go this early because you are the hardcore fans (and thus on WZ) that are one of the people in the stands when nobody else is?? Thanks. Still trying to figure this out.,..

I go early, tailgate until the last minute, get super duper DUPER high, play Wu-Tang on my headphones, then go in.
