This poses a very good question with Baalke and crew have to address. Do they resign Brooks at the end of the year, and if so, how much? I think they let him go and draft his replacement in day 2 of the draft.
BTW, I liked to have Justin Houston in the draft last year and he's been beastin the last few games.

We are up and down like we were last year. Last year we would have 3, 4, 5 sacks and then 0 the next game. This year it's more like we get great pressure at times and then others absolutely none. Although, it's not like we have had 1 or 2 game plus stretches like last year but we have had stretched during games. For Fangio being known as a blitzer and aggressive guy he sure does like to send 3 and play back. I get the bend don't break style but at certain times I would have liked to see more blitzes. As for Aldon he is getting more and more snaps so that's a good thing.

I agree, Fangio was suppose to be a protege of Capers, but hes been as soft as Nolan's Big Nickel. I seen Grant blitz maybe once, then didn't see anything after that...I don't think. I'd like to see more creative blitzing rather than disguising coverages, we need more aggression.

Look at the other side of the coin. Why blitz more when we're still tops in the league in takeaways.

I think we'll see more creative blitzing next year when the defense has a full training camp together.

There are so many variables. I agree with the concept that the 9ers on both sides of the ball will be a lot more polished with a full offseason of work and another solid draft.

True you do have a point, but its not like we pressure the QB as much as we should every defensive series. The way Skelton sat in the pocket today was frustrating to see, I think Fangio was more scared to be burned by Fitz than any thing else. But if pressure is put on the QB, then their playmakers cannot make plays.
And I ask again, why was Spencer put on Fitzgerald, Brown vs. Fitzgerald was a horrible match up. Spencer on Fitzgerald has been the reason we've owned Arizona these past years, when you gonna learn Fangio.

If we don't find that pass rush again.....we don't win our first playoff game.
