Does Harbaugh play a little more conservative by resting players if we have the lead late in games? the last thing we want is an injury to Gore, A Smith, Willis, Bowman, etc. before we even play a playoff game. I would hate that decision but it could be a smart one. The only game I can see keeping the players on the field until the very end is the Steelers game. I think that game becomes a statement game for Harbaugh to make-up for the loss to the Ravens. To show that the Ravens game was a bad game and we play alot better than that.
Homefield is still up for grabs however a slim chance at best with the way GB is playing right now. They would have to lose 2 games for us to clinch Homefield and I don't see them losing 2, maybe 1 but not 2.

No, because we still have work to do. He knows everything isnt working exactly right yet. He will use the remaining games to get this offense, and D, ready for a playoff run. He can then experiment with different packages, schemes, plays, etc.

I agree. I also think we shall see more of the squad players like Dixon etc. I think JH will try and rest as many key personnel as possible.

No because we're still in the hunt for the #1 seed. We can't just assume that Green Bay will win out, so until then, we're playing for the #1 seed and fighting to keep the #2 seed.

The last 4 weeks are the most important weeks of the season. If we get soft we'll be f**ked in the playoffs and be 1 and done. It's the teams that tighten the ship up coming down the stretch that win in the playoffs, lets be that team this year.

I can see Harbaugh resting Gore some, we have two other running backs who can take up the slack

What the hell are you talking about. We only have a one game lead over the saints for a bye week. We won't be letting up at all.

Hell no. We want the #2 seed and Harbaugh will never take his foot off of the pedal (remember Josh Morgan?). I can see him resting players late in games if we are up big....but not in any games when our lead is within 10 points.

in effect, its a 2 game lead, if we finished tied with them at 3 losses we get the tie break, all of their losses have come inside the nfc, this is where our loss to baltimore actually helps us
