I mean he did Bring Kyle and Lynch and has given them "Time"... Top of that he ended up eating like $25 mil from the Tomsula & Kelly Fails.

Wish this guy had enough pride to not allow the stupid 12 flag to be raised in our stadium

If the money's right he'd let them raise a banner of his naked self. He cares just enough to want to see us be a good team year in year out but not enough to live or die for a championship.

He doesn't have much choice. If your stadium gets a Super Bowl bid you basically hand it over to the NFL for a couple weeks.
The Saints have seen a dozen teams win in their stadium over the years. It's really not as big a deal as some here make it out. The stadium is controlled by the NFL during the SB, not the 49ers. It's not like the 49ers ever go into Miami and New Orleans and feel like it's theirs because we won 3 SBs in those stadiums.

True… I guess we aren't obnoxious enough to brag to saints/dolphins fans about it

I wonder if Jed put a budget on the 9ers, while he pursues his other interests.

The only rumor is actual Cash on hand which would be revealed based on what they do this offseason. Otherwise, I am pretty sure owners have to spend 90% of the cap value as a floor and are expected to use any carry over money from one year to the next etc which we've done for some deals.

They'd only have to spend ~81 million in cash this season to hit 90 percent of the cap over the current 3 year period. Obviously going to hit that with ease, lol.

Jed out here given hardline cash budgets? Seen some people (beat writer) saying they have a hard budget of around $300M in real cash to spend per yr and they're already at that.

This was news last year.
They are right under 300m at the moment, but that also includes Aiyuk, Trent, Huff…

I mean they have been handing out a lot of bad contracts lately. The 2020s seem to be about bad contracts and blown picks.

Worth noting: Reason 49ers added as much space as they did β over $20m β is because they were willing to pay a premium for salary-cap insurance. They might lead NFL in cap insurance buys.

The opposite of cheap: 49ers have literally been willing to spend extra to gain a cap edge
