Jed needs to be more invested in this team. He's not here because it's cool to make friends with NFL pros and bring them tequila in the locker room when they get injured (Kittle injured) so that they will like him, but instead to do whatever he can to try and win.

He did invest in the team. He did what good owners do. He hired men he felt were qualified, gave them long-term deals so they could rebuild the franchise, and got out of the way.
Now if he puts his weight behind a serious investigation of the power plant next door...

And from the start of his tenure as owner/decision maker you don't think he's done that?

I don't think that he could have done much more. And I am horrified at the suggestion that he might get more involved in the football side. Jerry Jones and Daniel Snyder spring to mind.

Jed has been a superstar owner by staying out of the headlines. It wasn't always that way, and we suffered. Thank god he is not Jerry Jones.

You have no idea how things work.

Jed doesn't need to be more hands on. He just needs to demand excellence, hold people accountable, and provide support where it's needed. Drafting/personnnel evaluation is clearly an area of need that he should be demanding better results.

Years ago when Harbaugh was still around he was criticized for being too involved. His tweets and cheering for the team since thought were over board. Now he's just writing the checks and letting his people do their jobs. I'm all for that and as long as he keeps spending up to the cap then that's all we should want. I can't imagine how bad we would be with an owner like Woody Johnson (jets) or the Bills owner.

Owners that are too involved tend to make things worse, not better. Jerry Jones is super involved with the Cowboys. Has not been to the team's benefit.

True. But why do fans think in black or white? If it's not Jed then it's jones or Snyder. If it's not Kyle then it's tomsula.
why not point to owners like kraft who Jed should emulate?

How is he not emulating them?

Jed has matured over the years, and that is to be expected. He is far better at this than his parents were. I'll give him credit, he's allowed for several excellent and top tier teams to be built and really should have had two Superbowls for his efforts. He'll get one I think eventually. The organization and the team are in a transition period and are still contending. The key to getting back to being elite is the draft and nailing the draft over the next two years and hoping a few from last year come out and are key contributors. That and strategically getting a couple of key free agents that can come in, mesh with the team and really contribute. I'm more positive that the team can come back to an elite level and win IF the right decisions are made. I think this transition is very critical for Lynch and Shanahan and York will watch and remain active behind the scenes. We'll see what happens from 2026 to 2030 with the team. It should be exciting.

There's a chance #49ers could play a home game in Mexico for the upcoming season, via Jed York

That's it! You nailed it. Jed needs to get a rub and tug and then we can finally win it all! Hurry someone deflate his balls!

Watching 'Rise of the 49ers' right now. Just listening to Tom Brady narrate and you can really hear how much of a fan he was of the Niners growing up (and maybe still is?). Yes, he's part owner of the Raiders right now but you never know going forward. With him being such a fan of the Niners growing up & knowing their players & dynasty history so well along with him having an almost unparalleled fire to win (& his football knowledge in being one of the greatest to ever play the game), I wish he could become part of the Niners' organization in some capacity. No guarantees he'd help get the Niners over the hump in winning another SB, but the guy's a winner and has that competitive drive we've seen so often on the field to get it done.
A fear I have is, with his competitive drive, he's going to somehow find a way to help the Raiders figure things out and turn things around. Could see him helping the Raiders find the right coaches (Kubiak might be a start) and others involved with football decisions along with acquiring the right players to turn around their fortunes. Hope not as it's the Raiders, a team I've always despised growing up here in the Bay Area.
