i did notice Lurie was pulling out all the stops to keep the push play. reportedly he made Jason Kelce available to teams to discuss the play. he also lobbied that taking the play out would be harmful for 'safety' reasons. that was also reported. jed probably had enough of listening to his BS.

i'll call it now, we will be seeing philly next season..

Saw that. Mystery to me why banning the push play would be harmful for safety reasons. Anyone got a theory?

lurie is a joker and he wants to keep the play and he'll cook up whatever argument he needs.

i would imagine he views head and neck injury as a consequence of high speed collision. this was a major reason they no longer do old school kickoffs. you get a long runway to build up speed and collide. if you did a pitch play and the safety crashes to do a donte whitner on pierre thomas that's a lights out situation. you don't get lights out on the tush push, cuz there is no build up speed.
An hour to sell the tush push? I can understand 15-20 mins, but, yeah, if I heard someone go one for a whole hour about the play I'd want to move on to something else, too.

lurie was taking too many liberties with the room and jed york checked his ass
"Is he redeemed?"

No he's not redeemed! Absolutely not! He's not redeemed until we WIN A SUPER BOWL! And he himself should be the very first person to agree with that!

it is the standard, super bowls

it's on the team to win them tho, all he can do is put the pieces together. he'd probably have 3-5 rings by now, if we simply executed

Calling it now, we stop the tush push in the NFC championship game but lose 2 of our key dl men in the process of that last play and lose in the super bowl like we usually do due to the injuries of that tush push stop.

Exactly. People like OP have to blame someone though. it's in their DNA to blame someone if something doesn't go as planned. Someone has to be held accountable what!!!

In reality all you can do it hope your owner puts the right pieces in place and stays out of the way.
