I actually watched us win 5 of those. So second place is a tough adjustment for me.
Eh, don't mind the loser talk of these new generations. They don't know what it's like to see their team actually demolish and demoralize their opponent in the Super Bowl. I saw all 5 SB wins too. If these guys are cool
with second place, have at it! You can't miss what you've never had. 2nd place kicks a$$! At least we had a chance!
😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'm hearing that the 49ers front office is not pleased with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. pic.twitter.com/fyAzCAUPiY

Cohn comes up with some garbage and Kwak "confirms" it. Got anyone with any credibility?
I can actually understand why the front office and head coach would be in hot water with ownership. It seems like we have been making emotional decisions, These decisions have cost ownership a lot of money as well as potential Super Bowl trophies. Just giving up three first round picks for a guy that you cut less than two years later would be enough to get these guys in hot water. But passing up on Hall of Fame players to draft busts, or signing guys to big contracts only to trade or cut them afterwards, all while still not delivering on your promise to bring a championship to the franchise can start to wear on ownership.
bottom line; ownership has been given a lot of excuses by Lynch & Kyle. The lucky thing for John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan is that they are dealing with Jed York and the York family. If Eddie D was here, they would've been gone.
You want to believe we are the current state of the Saints? go ahead.. but this team has been competitive for years and we are not even close to cap hell.
to boot we are about to pick in a draft at very beneficial spots and a lot of the top FA have been mentioned coming here as the best option
What happened the last two times we've picked number three overall?
Just having high first round picks isn't the solution, getting it right at number 11 will be very important.
We've already squandered two number three overall pics remember; Solomon Thomas and Trey Lance?
We also didn't do so well the few years that we traded away our first rounders for Lance.
And how did those seasons end?
Do you hate winning and having a chance to win a SB?
What does what mean?
Are you asking me why I'm not okay with second place?
We already won 5, so I'm not into just having chances. You 'almost' guys crack me up.
what does Kap, Jimmy G, and Purdy all have in common?
now, what does Steve Young & Joe Montana have in common?
I will give you a hint, it rhymes with wings…

Not every fan here got to be alive for those SB wins.
Enough with the "loser" talk when speaking for fans. Nobody is happy with losing. It doesn't mean fans, including you, didn't enjoy each of those seasons until that final loss.
The way some of you act it's like any time the team doesn't win the SB they should dismantle the whole roster and bring in new players and coaches until they win it.

I'll ask you the same question I asked DrEll...what are your thoughts on Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?

Some folks just need to be educated on the standard. Go see Eddie D & Bill Walsh, they taught us "Super Bowl or bust".
I know this softer generation tends to cupcake around unicorns and butterflies, so I won't act like I don't know where this new standard is coming from. So let's just agree to disagree, and chalk it up to different culture rather than continue this culture clash of 49ers fans.

Like you said, education. If you were around back then, then you would know there is no salary cap. so that way of winning will never come back.
Part 2 in this lesson, Eddie D had no restrictions with the cap and still couldn't win more, and the why is that, it's because Football is still settled by the players/refs/conditions on the field that day.
Part 3 Eddie way of doing business set back this franchise for a long time.
Part 4, if you thinking winning a SB is easy, then you need to stop thinking you're in the 80's

i don't see a part 1, so this is hard to follow
