The Irish branch of the 9ers supporter group are not happy with this news

just give em the good word

Actually, I don't think Rangers fans would care less about Jed's college affiliation. At all events it is Paraag they're seeing as Chief exec. I don't know his religious affiliation either, but we have enough people from a South Asian extraction in Scotland.

Anyway, football fans in Europe would sell their church (if they adhere to one) and their old grandma if it meant that their club ran a better chance to win things. Newcastle, PSG and Man City fans have no problem being owned by Gulf dictatorships, sorry, I meant "monarchies", who profess to be Muslim. Chelsea fans had no problems being owned by one of Putin's mates. We sports fans are the ultimate whores: we have no beliefs or honour if it means the hope of a championship. That's true in the NFL as well: even Washington fans wouldn't have minded Snyder that much if it meant winning. His fault to them is not that he was a prick (which he was), but that he presided over failure.

I can actually understand why the front office and head coach would be in hot water with ownership. It seems like we have been making emotional decisions, These decisions have cost ownership a lot of money as well as potential Super Bowl trophies. Just giving up three first round picks for a guy that you cut less than two years later would be enough to get these guys in hot water. But passing up on Hall of Fame players to draft busts, or signing guys to big contracts only to trade or cut them afterwards, all while still not delivering on your promise to bring a championship to the franchise can start to wear on ownership.

bottom line; ownership has been given a lot of excuses by Lynch & Kyle. The lucky thing for John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan is that they are dealing with Jed York and the York family. If Eddie D was here, they would've been gone.

You want to believe we are the current state of the Saints? go ahead.. but this team has been competitive for years and we are not even close to cap hell.

to boot we are about to pick in a draft at very beneficial spots and a lot of the top FA have been mentioned coming here as the best option

What happened the last two times we've picked number three overall?

Just having high first round picks isn't the solution, getting it right at number 11 will be very important.

We've already squandered two number three overall pics remember; Solomon Thomas and Trey Lance?

We also didn't do so well the few years that we traded away our first rounders for Lance.
What happened? Well we've been in 4 NFCCG and two SBs.. did you forget that? lol

And how did those seasons end?

Eh, don't mind the loser talk of these new generations. They don't know what it's like to see their team actually demolish and demoralize their opponent in the Super Bowl. I saw all 5 SB wins too. If these guys are cool
with second place, have at it! You can't miss what you've never had. 2nd place kicks a$$! At least we had a chance!
