Agreed - good post.
Jed is doing a good job of staying out of the spotlight and letting football people handle things. I have moved on from posting "f**k you jed" every day in this thread for months. Keep it up Jed.

I am optimistic with his progress and although relapse is never dismissed entirely from the prognosis I am not reaching for my emotional support dog at the moment and rubbing the fur on his back in a rapid but slightly creepy manner. I shall wait for an appropriate sign before I call out "Here boy"

I probably have more confidence in Denise, who is after all, the owner and has Mr DeBartolo senior's blood in her veins.

LMAO. Damn, we're going there? Does Eddie have any kids?
I have no problems with Jed. He was put in that position by his parents who wanted nothing to do with running the team. The Yorks ended up with it because the league forced Eddie out. People refer to him as a spoiled, rich brat. Welcome to the world of pro sports. Many of the owners inherit the reigns to the team after their parents die or get to old. Accept it or be bitter all your life but that's the way wealth is transferred. He's made mistakes like all owners, GM's and coaches but he seems to be learning from them. Some fans still blame him for moving to santa Clara but the city didn't want to provide a good deal so he was left with no choice but to move. At least he didn't go to LA or Vegas like one team we know.

Maybe one day he will move the team back to SF

I assume you're joking. With the price of real estate there and all the building going on it's not going to happen.

Excellent post. Agree, and watching/rooting for the Niners my whole life here in the Bay Area since '77, I'm glad they're still here in Northern CA. Jed has learned from past mistakes...now, he's got quality football guys running things from the FO to the HC and all the way through this quality coaching staff.

SF would have to offer a location that isn't a toxic waste dump with no infrastructure nearby.

Honestly I think what Jed wanted from the get go was to hire someone and not have to worry about firing, replacing, etc. He wanted someone creative and innovative like Walsh but also long term hoping they'd have a run like Don Shula or Steelers coaches, looking at how Kyle has handled the rebuild I think Jed found his guy and he's never wavered in his support for Kyle. The way he's running the offense and the team he kinda reminds you of Walsh bin a lot of ways. I have no doubt if somehow Kyle got fired he'd be picked up right away but I have to give it to Jed he's openly made fun of his bad decisions in interviews and seems genuinely happy to have Kyle running the team.

The NFL has a weird revenue sharing agreement which profits of all merchandise is divided between the 31 teams. (Jerrrah got an exemption for the cowboys).
