I don't like anyone rich enough to own an entire football franchise. That being said, Jed and his family have done a way better job than for example Daniel Snyder, amongst others. They came in, made a whole bundle of mistakes, learned from them and changed their approach accordingly. People with that sort of money are not usually very good at recognising their own failings so I respect them for that.

And I particularly like the way the franchise is being run now.

To be fair, when Eddie was forced to sell the team to his sister Denise, there was no carryover in knowledge. John York became the main person in charge and he knew little or nothing about football. Rather than bring in someone with football knowledge to run the team, he publicly said he was holding that position open until Jed graduated from Notre Dame. The result was a long string of embarrassingly bad decisions. Eventually, that embarrassment led to where we are now. Long story short.

Daniel Snyder, OTOH, seems to enjoy his embarrassment...

I don't disagree with you.

I think what we are saying is he has made more bad decisions than good ones and needs more time to prove this is team and he won't meddle with it.

What has he really meddled with in the past? People always say that but imo he hasn't

Not entirely sure Jed learned much of anything. Somewhat convinced that mother Denise finally got involved and to an extend took the car keys away from Jed (and John). I think she had more say in hiring Shanny and Lynch than the male members of the family did. She realized enough was enough, put Jed on mute and flexed her muscles....finally. No proof of this, just a gut feeling.

I seem to recall a story that Denise did get more involved about the time the Harbaugh era was ending.

I'm sure there were multiple influences. One of my "gut feelings" is that anybody who graduates from a good school like Notre Dame will have a good deal of book knowledge but not necessarily street smarts. That takes time. That fits Jed, IMO. He was smart enough to eventually recognize that JUST his ND education was not enough to run the franchise. He needed to turn over control to those that had the experience to run the football operation. The result is what we now see.

Mark Cuban is rich enough to own a football team and I think he's someone I could totally have a beer with.

The fact i hear almost nothing from or about Jed means he is staying int he shadows and letting his employees do their jobs. Hopefully this is the case and continues going forward.

I'm so sick of everyone dragging Jed's name through the mud all of the time. You guys really act like you know what's going on in the buildings especially during the Harbaugh years, but you don't know sh*t. None of you peasants could manage a professional football team, let alone own it.

Jed deserves respect. I said it when he hired/fired Harbaugh. I'll say it again with Shanny and Lynch. He had a plan in place when all of you doubted him.

Please stop with the same ol' comments "Yea Jed, just stay out of the way and we're good"
