For example, Shanahan is on record in saying that he didn't ask for six years. So York was the one that decided that was a commitment he needed to make. Yet TK frames it as Shanahan bullying York into making that decision.

I though he learned to step aside after Tomsula?

He did. He gave Baalke plenty of space to work within. Baalke's failure last year was so spectacular it had to be completely gutted.

Gutted? The EVP of Football Ops remained the same.
We shall see.
Can he mature? Maybe. Am I always going to remember him a spoiled kid who cried until he got his way? Probably. Will I support him and give him credit if we become a good team a gain? Sure. But, let's not forget his past. He chose his own ego over winning. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have gone through this mess in the last 4 years.

when did that happen?
Am I crazy to think Jed was an Eddie D plant to stay involved in decision making? A way to get involved under John York's nose? A lot of Jed's lines seem rehearsed from a certain someone. "we don't raise NFC Championship banners, we raise Super Bowl banners."

Yes you are crazy. Just look at how bad we've been under Jed or how quickly he's deliberately destroyed what success he could develop. He was raised here, heard all of the lingo...he's just regurgitating it for his benefit now.

lol.
Eddie had a better organizational structure that's for sure. However, he didn't really treat coaches very well either. Walsh Siefert etc. He and other 49er legends were bugged that Harbaugh worshiped Al Davis and not them.

Jed has bungled on the hirings of Tomasula and Singletary. Yet, I guess I am one of the few who won't go bat nuts like some who say crazy stuff like worst ever etc., because I see other teams far worse like the Browns, the Rams etc. We at least had Harbaugh for a while. I think Harbaugh wanted out cause he saw the writing on the wall- that his choice Kaep was digressing, that the team was getting old and we were up against the cap.

Owner Eddie D., was not easy to work with either, Walsh left, because of the pressure. Let is not forget different era-no cap. They flew and roomed first class to.
I guess getting a hopefully good coach & GM makes all tha hatred of Jeddy go away
Nah, we all still hate Jed. As long as he stays out of the way of Shan and Lynch, we stay quiet about Jed. I attended the 49ers/Bears game last year and personally saw dolls of Jed and Kaepernick hanging from rope.. Trust me, Niner nation hates him

In the NFL winning solves everything. It will take awhile before Jed starts really earning trust and respect back from the majority of the fanbase but if the team continues to make noticable progress, people will start to respect him again a little more, a piece at a time.

I think for right now people are just excited about Lynch and Shanahan and are dialed into free agency and draft season so the Jed hate has taken a backseat for awhile.
Owners not named Dan Snyder can continue to learn from their mistakes, mature, get wiser. These six year deals were a risk on his part. He deserves blame for the Harbaugh debacle, but also deserves credit for what's happening now.

Well said..

Just because we are respecting the head coach and Gm process does NOT mean we forgot about Jed throwing a Super Bowl away by holding on to lord baalke and the talentless, All Acl Crew and letting him undermine Harbaugh, Jed fires a head coach who has the most wins in the first three years of tenure in NFL HISTORY...........

We will never forget Aj Jenkins and the rest of those wasted draft picks. No one knows how much damage that decision cost us in 2014... Its definitely years... We didnt need to bury ourselves, it was self-inflicted wounds... It was dumb decision, no matter what. Yea he is trying, well we shouldnt have been in this situation, years of wasted draft picks...

Yup he is getting all the hate for what he did these last couple of years. So it should be fair he should get some love if this team goes back to contenders.
