i like it, don't let the momentum shift at all

That is the key. Momentum is a b***h. If you lose that you can lose almost any lead.
This thread is orgasmic.
Any thoughts from someone knowledgeable on Colin's play? I thought he looked surprisingly accurate throwing on the move and pretty comfortable taking snaps out there.

On D, I actually owe this one to Eric Davis. On CSN Bay Area, he was talking about how they disguised the coverage they were in all day and it had Freeman confused. He thought they were in a simply Quarters D, but they weren't. The INT by Rogers and the almost INT by Brown were both a result of Freeman being confused.

On O, its not just the 3 TE sets. Obviously, the fact that they can run OR pass out of that set has to confuse the hell out of defenses, but they way they are running combination patterns that has WRs running free. Crabtree is WIDE OPEN...ALOT. The only reason he doesn't get a long gainer is because Ronde Barber held him. If he doesn't, he may score. The Bucs were on their heals the entire day.

Freakin' Love it.

Beautiful and yes, I did hear the commentators saying they felt we had something on Freeman as well. Not many passes were made w/o a defender making a break/play on the ball and we played WAY more physical again up at the LOS (key to me).

That is the reason the Niners lost to Dallas as a matter of fact. In retrospect, taking the points off the field goal turned out to be a mistake. I admit I liked the call at the time because of the way the game had gone up to that point. Unfortunately, the defense, which has played pretty well up until that point, couldn't stop the Cowpies on the next drive, shifting the momentum back to Dallas and ultimately costing the Niners the game.

Because football is such an emotional game, momentum plays an enormous part in winning and losing. I saw it yesterday in the Seattle game. After the Hawks got a safety, you could tell they were going to win that game. Sometimes, all it takes is one big play.

When the Niners played in Philly, once they got their first TD in relatively easy fashion, you could tell their confidence kicked in and that they would make a game of it.

Right you are Command.... I also noticed the CBs were not giving the Bucs receivers a lot of room. They were challenging every pass....a far cry from the defensive philosophy that the team has had the last decade.

And a big difference from the Philly game where we let their track stars run rampant. The Bengals were the 1st team we really played physical in the secondary...gave up 6 points total. This time, we only gave up 3. I hope we are seeing a trend here b/c it's also leading to a lot of TO's too!

BTW: I'm up in Seattle this w/e and I was impressed with the Hawks game; they appear to be putting together a nice offense and their defense is stout. We should NOT overlook these guys no matter who is QBing that team.

Are they similar to the Bucs Cause that's what I thought of the Bucs before they play the game yesterday
cue the metallica music
I agree 100%
I thought the Bucs were the most similar team as us in terms of talent and philosophy.

Jim Harbaugh just showed what he can do to a coach if he took that coach's players and coached against him.

1) Gore. I STILL think Frank is a step slower, but he's still pretty damn good. ;-) I think Frank at 90% is still better than most of the league.

2) Aldon. Its starting to click for Aldon Smith. He doesn't always flat out beat the guy in front of him, but he just keeps on going. I love his effort. He's just getting better every week.

3) Crabtree. I've said it before....something is just DIFFERENT. He's looking alot more like the guy he was at Texas Tech than the guy whos been here for the past two years. He hasn't had it yet, but pretty soon here he's going to have a big time break out game.

4) Vernon. Monster. Not many yards, but would not be denied.

5) O-Line. Its starting to click. Early in the season it seemed there was always one guy who wasn't doing what he was supposed to. They are now getting it right more than they are getting it wrong. If they keep this up....woah.

6) Morgan. That sucks. He was having a good year. Some peeps will have an issue with him being in the game at all, but I didn't have a problem with it. I liked that Harbaugh wanted to give Kaep a chance to do more than just hand the ball off. More on Harbaugh later.

7) Rogers. Nice. He's gonna get an extension. My father watched the game with me and he's a huge Redskins fan. He couldn't believe what he was seeing when Carlos made that INT. He said that Rogers was a premiere corner who simply couldn't catch. Lets hope this isn't a fluke and he has learned how to keep his hands on the ball. ;-)

8) Goldson. I have never really been a big fan of Goldson, but I'll tell you what...that guy is freakin' blowing people up this year. OUCH. The best part of that his on Mike WIlliams? It was CLEAN. He didn't lead with his head.

9) Alex. Um...I'm starting to get scared. I'm daring to believe that Alex might just turn it around. Every time I've thought that in the past, my hopes have been dashed a week later. Alex Smith is the ranked THIRD in the NFL in QB rating. THIRD. The only guys above him? Brady and Rodgers. Yeah, he's not setting the world on fire with yardage, but he really doesn't have to when the run game is putting up 200 yards. 7 TDs. ONE INT. Who saw that coming? I've noticed this since the preseason....has anyone else notice how much this guy smiles compared to last year? In press conferences, he jokes more than ever before. He is just SOOOO much more comfortable in his skin. You can say its because he's winning, but it started before they even played their first game.

10) Harbaugh. Wow. What a difference a year and a competent coach makes. Last year: same team, same opponent, same stadium. 21-0 loss. This year? 48-3 win. I dunno if you can get more black and white than that. I love that its clear that there is a PLAN on both sides of the ball. For the first time in a decade, we aren't being outcoached or outschemed. They have answers. I also love that they never changed the game plan when down by 20 to Philly and that they never took their foot off the gas pedal against the Bucs. They just put their foot on the Bucs throat and held it there till the final minutes ticked off. Freakin LOVE it.

The bolded is the one thing I disagree with (maybe also that Gore's lost a step). I think in that scenario, the skill position guys should be Dixon, K. Williams, J. Peelle, an extra o-lineman, and Bruce Miller (hell, maybe even 2 extra o-linemen because Miller's lookin' pretty nice). That would be even better for Kaepernick. If he can learn how to throw to Jusin Peelle, imagine how much easier it'd be if/when he gets to throw to V. Davis. I do disagree with Harbaugh saying you can't take a knee with 4 mins left. With a 38 point lead, you CAN. Kneel it 4 times. Let them score a TD (don't actually play defense and risk an injury on that side of the ball), then kneel it 4 times again and that's the ballgame. Killer instinct is nice when the chance of the opponent making a comeback is anywhere near the realm of possible (i.e. maybe up 14 with 5 mins left...go for the 21 point lead and put the game completely away). When there is NO chance of an opponent coming back, you don't need that killer instinct.

Totally disagree. The Niners kept scoring because Harbaugh was sending a message to his OWN TEAM. FINISH. Thats something they didn't do against the Cowboys.

As for Morgan, they didn't have Crabtree in the game and they had a three reciever set. If thats the case, its gonna be Morgan, Williams and Ginn. They only have 4 recievers.

Stuff happens. Thats just the way it is. You can't play scared that someone will get hurt. You play the game. Its as simple as that.
SOMEBODY FIND ME A TORRENT FOR THE BUCS GAME PLEASEEEEEE
Sorry..captured it live in HD. ;-)
