For me the best part of the game yesterday was when we were up like 40 points and JH was still trying to score TDs. In the past Nolan and Sing would have started running the clock out right after half time. Finally we have a coach who is not afraid to keep scoring.

I was screaming at my TV...
"More points!"
"Attack!"
"I want 50+!!!"
Felt like I was back in the 90s watching Young destroy teams.

i like it, don't let the momentum shift at all

That is the key. Momentum is a b***h. If you lose that you can lose almost any lead.

it was good to see him keep tryin to score, i love it also. cant let the cowboys thing happen again, and freeman is known for comebacks.... but not this time! good job 9ers... oh and good post marvin

I dont think Gore has lost a step he hasnt always been the fastest guy in the league but Gore is the toughest SOB in the game at HB. He gets the toughest yards ive seen besides AP. Thank god Gore is proving everyone one wrong so far.

I agree. He was never a speed demon running back. I think he looked really good yesterday. He is seeing the holes a lot faster than he did when the season began.

Plus, He's giving me some nice fantasy points!!!

I'd have no prob whatsoever being wrong.

I'm glad to have overreacted after the first few games. It definitely looks like Gore is still capable of being a workhorse in a power running game.

Why are you seeing that makes you think he has? I thought so too at first, but these last two games he seems like he is back to his old self.

Was my point in the beginning. Everyone screamed for Hunter while it was our Line and whole offense who needed to gel. Frank can only do so much by himself. Im not calling anyone out just hope we can start praising him and stop bashing probably the most Valuable 49ers we've had since Garcia left.

I wish I could point to one thing in particular, but I can't. I put a Gore vid together last year for Youtube and he just doesn't seem to be making those same runs.

At the same time tho, LAST year, he didn't seem to be as explosive as he was the year before that either.

I don't think its the hip injury. I just think that he is slowly starting to wear down. I think he's still a very good RB, but I think they need to continue to platoon Gore and Hunter and keep Frank fresh in the 4th quarter and maybe even for the first time...in the playoffs. ;-)

Our DBs dropped 3 ints too lol. It could have been so much worse.

24-3 at half, any other coach we've had since the 90's woulda let them come back. Once we went up 31-3 I knew something was different about our coaches. We completely demoralized the Bucs.
went to the game. its was awesome of course not a sad 49er fan in the house. had a older guy sitting next to me saying it felt like the 80's again. our defense was a monster and our offense confused there defense the whose game. good job 49ers.
As for Gore, I stick to my initial thoughts this season. He hasn't lost a step physically, but he was playing slow, timid, unconfidently at the beginning of the year. He wasn't exploding through contact like he is known for. Having Kendall step up did a lot for Frank IMO. He's running hard and confident now.

...and I thought re-watching LAST weeks game was fun. ;-)

1) Gore. I STILL think Frank is a step slower, but he's still pretty damn good. ;-) I think Frank at 90% is still better than most of the league.

2) Aldon. Its starting to click for Aldon Smith. He doesn't always flat out beat the guy in front of him, but he just keeps on going. I love his effort. He's just getting better every week.

3) Crabtree. I've said it before....something is just DIFFERENT. He's looking alot more like the guy he was at Texas Tech than the guy whos been here for the past two years. He hasn't had it yet, but pretty soon here he's going to have a big time break out game.

4) Vernon. Monster. Not many yards, but would not be denied.

5) O-Line. Its starting to click. Early in the season it seemed there was always one guy who wasn't doing what he was supposed to. They are now getting it right more than they are getting it wrong. If they keep this up....woah.

6) Morgan. That sucks. He was having a good year. Some peeps will have an issue with him being in the game at all, but I didn't have a problem with it. I liked that Harbaugh wanted to give Kaep a chance to do more than just hand the ball off. More on Harbaugh later.

7) Rogers. Nice. He's gonna get an extension. My father watched the game with me and he's a huge Redskins fan. He couldn't believe what he was seeing when Carlos made that INT. He said that Rogers was a premiere corner who simply couldn't catch. Lets hope this isn't a fluke and he has learned how to keep his hands on the ball. ;-)

8) Goldson. I have never really been a big fan of Goldson, but I'll tell you what...that guy is freakin' blowing people up this year. OUCH. The best part of that his on Mike WIlliams? It was CLEAN. He didn't lead with his head.

9) Alex. Um...I'm starting to get scared. I'm daring to believe that Alex might just turn it around. Every time I've thought that in the past, my hopes have been dashed a week later. Alex Smith is the ranked THIRD in the NFL in QB rating. THIRD. The only guys above him? Brady and Rodgers. Yeah, he's not setting the world on fire with yardage, but he really doesn't have to when the run game is putting up 200 yards. 7 TDs. ONE INT. Who saw that coming? I've noticed this since the preseason....has anyone else notice how much this guy smiles compared to last year? In press conferences, he jokes more than ever before. He is just SOOOO much more comfortable in his skin. You can say its because he's winning, but it started before they even played their first game.

10) Harbaugh. Wow. What a difference a year and a competent coach makes. Last year: same team, same opponent, same stadium. 21-0 loss. This year? 48-3 win. I dunno if you can get more black and white than that. I love that its clear that there is a PLAN on both sides of the ball. For the first time in a decade, we aren't being outcoached or outschemed. They have answers. I also love that they never changed the game plan when down by 20 to Philly and that they never took their foot off the gas pedal against the Bucs. They just put their foot on the Bucs throat and held it there till the final minutes ticked off. Freakin LOVE it.

marv im not ashamed to say this but reading your post especially what you said regarding alex smith made my eyes misty ive supported this guy since the day he was drafted and to finally get a taste of what it must have been like for the faithful in the 80's and early 90's makes me feel like im on cloud 49!
