Edwards' time frame for return is not known. When asked if the 49ers might add a receiver, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh on Monday answered, "We'll evaluate that."
It appears unlikely the 49ers would add a wide receiver this week who could make any kind of immediate impact. Kyle Williams was the 49ers' third receiver. Joshua Morgan and Ted Ginn saw most of the action in two-receiver formations against the Cowboys.

The 49ers did not used a four-receiver formation in either of their first two games.
"We're pleased with the way Kyle Williams stepped up," Harbaugh said. "He had a heck of a play on the touchdown. Heck of a throw and an outstanding catch. I'm happy for him. He didn't dress for the first game. He had an opportunity and shined. He's spot-on with his attitude and his approach to the game."
The 49ers worked out free-agent receiver Donnie Avery two weeks ago. Avery, a second-round pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2008, missed all of 2010 with a knee injury. The Rams released him at the end of training camp. Dominique Zeigler, among the 49ers' final cuts, could also be re-signed if the 49ers feel they need to add a receiver.

Time for T.O to come back?
The best thing to do when your offensive line obviously cant handle the blitz is to call screen plays. Screen plays are the perfect counter play to an overly aggressive defense. How many screen plays did the 49ers call in Sundays game against the Cowboys? And why didn't they use KENDAL HUNTER??

well..
1. i don't know why they haven't used kendall hunter.
2. I don't know why, but it seems like in two games we have only thrown 2--4 screens.
Why dont they call screen plays? The best counter to an overly aggressive blitzing defense is to call a screen play. And why not use the illusive KENDAL HUNTER???? KENDAL HUNTER + SCREEN PLAYS = SUCCESS!

Well we have a college HC, a College O.C, a college D.C

That explains our lack of success, lack of halftime adjustments, and overall being outcoached so far.
I think i'm going to apply for a coaching position..lol

Dallas blew up a screen pass to Gore on our 1st or 2nd drive.

I have a feeling that we don't call many screen plays because our O-Line was really bad at them last year. They are not playing much better this year. I think Smith was sacked really quickly on Sunday on a called screen play.
how about signing TJ Houshmenzada? Im sure he's looking to get his value back up. but the thing that really bothers me is the non usage of kendal hunter. This kid obviously can play. He reminds me a lot of darren sproles. But with a stronger build that can still pick up the blitz despite his small stature.
T.O.
T.O. is coming off an acl surgery. The last two years he has had knee surgery...why dont you think any team has picked him up?...

Housh is slow.. we have enough of that, I guess we could use another possession WR..
