When I saw norris go out wide, I did a double take.
That play had Jimmy Raye all over it.

So I thought the Harbaugh offense was supposed to feature the TE's? Werent our Te's saying that in TC?
I want to see Delanie and Vernon get the ball this week, we need to get it going.

Nice post BubbaParisMVP/unst4bl3! I agree! Wake me up when we start running a WCO. But hey, we did run one slant pattern! Baby steps...

Where did my "Jim Harbaugh's offense" thread go? Was it locked? There was a lot of good information in there.

Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread:
Side note: who says coaches don't admit when they make poor play calls? ANDY REID admitted today he went "way, way too conservative" with Kafka.

I ACTUALLY LIKED THIS GAMES' PLAYCALLING
I saw alot of passes.
I don't think I've seen more completions by Smithers in a long while.
Gore was shut down, and our Oline couldn't handle the big money defense that is the Cowboys. The boys' have millions generated into them. We don't.
one other thing:
THE GINNSTER!!
Ted Ginn is finally coming out of his shell! Sign this dood two weeks before the season ends! Triple threat!

I agree, I don't understand why he isn't running routes with speed and passion. He doesn't seem to be teh same leader he was last year, last year he wanted the ball he wanted the offense on his back. (or at least it seemed like it)

It's because Jimmy Raye's offense was focused on the TE, while Harbaugh's offense is focused on everyone. So he's a little emo, understandable.

Maybe Harbaugh's offense is too complicated for him and he's thinking more than playing. I mean, hell, it took him a while to mentally get with it for our basic offenses.

I'm sorry, but he would be a HOF on another team with a different QB and HC.
but that is just all speculation on my part.
IMO, *so far* Jim does alot of things, and says alot of things...that are just too similar to Singletary, for my liking.

I hope I'm wrong on this but I think V.D. will be gone shortly. We will trade him for a pick sometime within the next couple of years. I just don't see him fitting into the WCO. I think Harbaugh is looking for a more lumbering tightend. (Brent Jones, Novacek, or a Witten type) Just a big lumbering guy that can find holes in the coverage and set in em, and then blow somebody up when they need to.
Maybe when we get some of our line issues fixed, then we will start using V.D differently, but for now it's just a waste of a talented player.

The power running game isn't working... Lets use a real WCO. We need to get our WRs healthy and get Kyle Williams in the mix. Also, I really thought Jim loved using TEs? WTF? We have two good ones... lets utilize them.

Wassup with Kendal Hunter? I don't understand, I think he can provide a spark in the run game.

For a guy who's 6'5" VD plays like he's only 6'. If Shockey was easily replaced in NY, Vernon can be easily replaced with a quick big TE who can make sharp cuts and read the defense properly.
I still don't understand the lack of quick slants. That's a one or two step drop.

Ginn has definitely been a bright spot for the season so far. It's ironic that Gore got the pay raise while he took a pay cut (or maybe that fact explains everything!)
