His receivers didn't give him any help at all (Delanie, how could you drop that ball??!!!) and the line play was below average.

I still think he held onto the ball too long during some series, particularly in the 1st half.

But he's not the reason why we lost.

Anyone know what had Vernon ticked off right before halftime?

I'm with you bro, Smith didn't look good today, well he had an solid drive I think it was in the last 3 minutes in the first half, but overall thought his play wasn't that good today.

What pissed me off more was Dashon Goldson today giving up those big plays to Fitz.

Agreed. Fitz schooled us but good.

This.

Look s**t happens. Last I checked there are only what...2 (possibly 3) undefeated teams in history.

These things happen. We got outplayed by a team that wanted it more than us today. No one will admit it but we looked past them. Even one of the beat writers mentioned that we were being a little complacent with Skelton on the field.

We have been 100% solid in this area all year...I.E staying composed and focused. Today, for whatever reason, we weren't. Lesson learned. These guys need to turn up the heat against Pit.
Alex is biggest the problem that he can't throw the TD from 5 to 10 yards cuz he always do that all the time! He scared to threw the ints from 5 to 10 yards from TD that is why! Tell Alex.. what's wrong dude!
Plus, 10 carries for Frank Gore was inexcusable. And it translated into a sh_tload of 3-and-outs.

His inability to throw TD passes in red zone is the reason we lost.

You might also agree that Ted Ginn's inability to catch TD passes on fade routes is another reason why we lost. Same thing with Vernon last week. Delanie didn't do us any favors either, although that drop wasn't in the endzone.

But a drop is a drop. For TD passes to work, the QB needs to throw it well and the receiver needs to catch it. Receivers have been failing at this far too often for us on this.

It ain't just Alex.

How many open receivers did you see in the endzone? Our red zone play calling has been awful
