You guys keep underselling the Bucs. I live down here. I get to see all of their games, at least the ones not blacked out. That's a good football team. "Good" by today's standards.
If I had to compare Freeman as a player it would be Roethlisberger as far as arm and ability to extend the play. The Bucs are very physical on both sides of the ball. Not saying this is a loss, but that they present a different challenge from the teams the 49ers have faced thus far.
I agree. I think this will be a tough game. If anyone doubts that, think back to last year. Yeah, Singletary was the coach, but we were able to score on other teams with him leading us. It was a solid effort by a young 10 win team that blanked us. They've had another year to mature too. I'm not sure we win this game despite it being at home and a short week for them.
I really think we're in trouble if we start slow like the last 4 games this year.
Last year when they played us It was Troy Smiths 3rd game so there was tape on him and it turns out he was a pretty horrible QB and that game was the start of that and the Bucs were the first team to expose that
We held them in check pretty good for that game. We just couldnt muster up any offense. I think both teams are very similar and I think it will be a close game.

We have a better run defense than the Colts, light years better. Blount won't run for 120 on us. Maybe 70 on 20 carries. Put the ball in Freeman's hands and I like our chances.

we have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. He'll easily pick us apart if there is no pressure.
just say no to the 3 man rush!
Were actually tied for 4th in Interceptions.......just sayin

McCoy is better and faster than blount. We will stop blount fairly easily. He is a power runner much like gore and our D line will swallow him up. Freeman is no michael vick. hes not as elusive nor as fast. Our D line will feel relieved to not have to chase around a player with vicks speed, and it will feel much easier getting to him than it was getting to vick. i expect a few sacks. Hell even the colts were getting to freeman and they have a TERRIBLE pass rush.
