Who will have more sacks? (A.Smith vs V.Miller)

Aldon will have more sacks because he is surrounded by better talent.

Also wanted to add they he has Dumervil coming off ofthe other side, which has to help.

they switched back at 4-3 so dumerville wont have as good of a season as he had 2 years ago

also i dont know if von miller will be as effective in 4-3 isnt he kind of small ? i know hes fast and has quick first step but not sure how strong he is

Dumerville is coming off a injury, My thought is he won't be full speed until next season!!!

Dumervil was still a stud pass rusher in 4-3. He had 21 sacks in his first 19 games. His injury could slow him down though.
Maybe time will prove me wrong but from a physical stand point Aldon Smith holds more promise than Von Miller as a pass rusher. Miller is very athletic but will have a hard time getting leverage off the edge at his size. I do think that Miller will be a solid linebacker but Aldon Smith will have better sack numbers.

not to mention he is a huge liability against the run ( von miller) which was the main reason i was on the quinn bandwagon before the draft however im extremely happy we got aldon smith
Von Miller couldn't hold Aldon Smiths jockstrap

Miller is small, but he is pretty strong, and some evaluators made a point of saying that he can stop a blockers momentum with his punch.
Aldon Smith
Aldon Smith will not only have J Smith and McDonald putting pressure on the QB but also blitzing threat from Willis and...well everywhere! This should really help him. Fangio mixes up the look and scheme so much that, unless it confuses our D, there should be some direct shots at the QBs.

I'll admit that I liked Quinn and was disappointed that they drafted Aldon but I have not heard such good things about a rookie D player in TC since Willis.
i think it looks sick when the two ILBs are 50's numbers and the OLBs ARE 90's. Aldon will be D-ROY book it

I think Aldon is a freak, and I am not rooting for him to do poorly just so I can be right, but Von Miller is a pass rushing demon. He strings together combination moves, senses when the blocker is shifting balance, and he can run the arc with unreal speed. His first step put A LOT of people at an immediate disadvantage. I have not been as impressed by a collegiate pass rusher in a long time. Maybe his size will keep his skill set from translating to the NFL, but I don't think it will. I'd be thrilled if Aldon got 20 sacks and crushed Miller's numbers, but Miller just seems more skilled (like he spends more time thinking about and working on his craft).

I've never gotten the impression that Smith isn't a hard-worker. Miller had twice as much time in college and Smith was a raw prospect coming into the draft.
