I forget, what happened to Miller? I think he's on the PUP, no.

Guess who's gonna get us those tough yards AND the game winning kick?!
lol. Sims-Walker is average. Kolb is not that good, really is he worth 63M. And Rice has injury prone issues, and only went to SEA to be with Darrell Bevell, who wasnt a good OC in Minny.

why did we waste a draft pick then on a project FB then?
does that mean Miller will stay on the defensive side of the ball..i hope so
I really hope so too. Way too valuable defensively to put at freaking FB. I saw this kid play, he was uncontainable for UCF. Miller needs to be at LB. I don't care where you put him, just have him on defense.
A three year deal is no small deal.. if he was just going to be another PS guy or backup, it'd be a one or two year deal max. This is a starter-type deal. PLEASE MOVE BRUCE MILLER TO TED or WILL.
For reals
if they keep bruce miller in at offense, stupid
is it April yet?
I think Miller could start at TED for us honestly. I believe he's that talented. So what if he has slightly shorter arms.. He loves to hit, he's incredibly strong, he's got good speed and size (6-1 254 4.67) and set school records with 35.5 sacks and was the CUSA Defensive POY...

Not to say I'm sold on Baalke, but in all honesty, when the 49ers began installing the west coast offense in 1979, the team was filled with a bunch of no names. Seems like we are going to be relying heavily on coaching as opposed to talent.
In 1979 and for the next 10-15 years, the system Bill Walsh installed was new and nobody really knew how to defend it. That isn't the case anymore.
how come the eagles are still good then?
They have plenty of talent.
Give Andy Reid average talent instead, and they won't be very good.
Yeah, cause his coaching abilities have nothing to do with it
I never said it didn't, but if you're gonna sit there and claim Andy Reid would have the same success with a bunch of scrubs that would be backups on other teams, you're only fooling yourself.
totally forgot, when we draft players they are automatically scrubs and when other teams do, those players are bonafide pro-bowlers. Vernon was considered a bust before he got coached up (thrown off the field) and became something better.

i think they realize that, he provides depth at lb and de. something we need right now. And I do agree a 3 year deal just to have more competition doesnt make sense

We are getting a lot of YOUNG promising talent, in 1-2 years we could be REALLY explosive. I am optimistic.

Yeah maiocco said it's likely because miller is out for a bit because of his shoulder but they must see something in him to get a three year deal. They said they would give miller a shot on defense, hopefully he takes advantage and impresses

Ummm... Andy Reid DID have success with scrubs. You don't remember how talent deprived the receiving core was? They still dominated teams, even when McNabb got injured. Remember Neckbeard?
It's coaching, Bro.
I didn't say his coaching had nothing to do with it, but even with the scrubs on offense that you mentioned, he still had a good defense. His sustained success is not only a result of good coaching, but also good players in his system. If you can't see that, then I don't know what else to tell you.

I know... I can tell the dude is a powerhouse just from a few highlights. He's made for football.
I think Rathman wanted him. Can't really argue with that guy.
Still, if Miller really does have what it takes to make it on D, I'm sure he'll get his shot.

Which players have we drafted outside of the first round that became studs besides Frank Gore?
Willis, VD and Gore are the only studs we've drafted since 2003 (Iupati will be there soon). We hit on 3 or 4 very good players in 8 drafts. That's awesome.

His system = his coaching.
They had success on offense. That was coaching.
I'm sorry that you've got nothing else to refute my points. Maybe you should consider changing your opinion.

Maybe his guy would've caught that overthrown pass by Alex Smith versus Seattle last year and it would have turned our season around and made it to the playoffs??
