If he goes to AZ, I hope Frank Gore uses the "truck stick" on him.
What about Free Agent, Gay. He would be a perfect fit for San Francisco.

I'm so ready to go home and play video games....

Joseph signed by Texans, as expected. Nnamdi still working the Jets to get extra money.

I don't get how many board members think a restructuring of Clements' contract is a lock, or even a probability.

He knows that the Niners are chasing his replacement, and the moment one of these CB's is signed, he is gone. And, why would he volunteer to restructure? I think he'd rather make $8 million in Baltimore or Tampa than $8 million in SF.

Listen to the Dog.

Only problem is we haven't signed anyone yet. If by the end of tomorrow the only person we've signed is Carr, then I'll be worried.

The Niners appear to have all their chips on the table for Asomugha. Once he signs with the Jets, the team will up the offer to Joseph, who will sign with the Texans. The Niners will probablymove in on Marshall or Carr.

As for the rest of the team, it seems like Kreutz is the target at center. However, he is using the Niners to bump up the amount offered by the Bears. I doubt he really wants to leave after 13 years in Chicago. The fallback center is O'Hara, who was released by the Giants.

I doubt Franklin will be retained. He is probably waiting for Cullen Jenkins contract numbers to be posted.

Manny is going to sign elsewhere. Goldson will probably be re-signed by the team.

Isaac Sopoaga said he found out yesterday while meeting with DL coach Jim Tomsula he'd be moving to nose tackle for the 49ers.

Hopefully with Fangio and with Sopoaga being healthy this time, it'll work out better. However, we REALLY need a run stopping LE now. Right now, this is our depth chart on the DL...

McDonald - Sopoaga - J.Smith
Tukuafu - RJF/Williams - Dobbs/Buckle

I think our base package will suffer, while our nickel package will be strong. Nickel:

A.Brooks - McDonald - Justin Smith - Aldon Smith

According to league sources, the agents for Houston Texans DT Amobi Okoye have been given permission to seek a trade.

just saying

Dudes getting booted from a 3-4 team because he doesn't fit. What would we do with him?

Haynesworth just went to another 3-4 team....for a cheap trade you never know.

I'm not dowing your suggesting. I just dont know what we would do with him. I remember I wanted him in the draft, because he was so young, but huge. Amazing what a diffrence a few years make.

remember he came out very young, he's only 24.

at 6-2 315 we could put him almost anywhere, this is kind of off the wall move the Pats would make and have him at the probowl in 2 years...then ship him out for 2 1st's

lulz at two 1st's. NO dt/nt is worth two 1st's EVER!!!!

ngata is and maybe wilfork but definitely ngata

You'd seriously give up TWO 1st's for Ngata??? Unless you're Manning/Brady/Brees, you're not worth it. Fact.

yup totally serious

id easily give two 1st for King Kong Suh in detroit. thats the scariest most dominant DT ive seen in a very long time
Clements fits with TB
Sign Marshall and James Jones. The Cowgirls could be getting involved with Nnmadi.

Give me Mini JIM!!!
So I went to the "offical" Bengals message board and found this;

http://boards.bengals.com/showthread.php?t=83987&page=2

One of the posters said Clements signed with the Bengals for 10million over 2 years with 6 guarenteed? Can anyone confirm?

If so, I think my head will explode. He was defintily worth that contract. In fact, we probably could of got him for cheaper just because he was already here.....

from what I know, he did get a 10.5M or so deal with the 6M guaranteed over 2 yrs as u stated.

Idk what it was, maybe he was upset that he was gonna be released, did he refuse to restructure, and was he upset at the team, idk.

I wish he would of stayed here. Maybe we only wanted him for 1 yr deal, I would of given him this deal. This is the only thing I am mad with. Never should of cut him without a replacement in place.

We tried to restructure his contract. Once they reached an impasse we were forced to cut him. Once cut, there was no way he was going to resign with the 49ers. I told a friend that he would actually take less elsewhere, because of the insult of being cut.
