Steve Bono never played for Walsh. He joined the team in 1989 (G. Seifert's first year as head coach), and didn't have significant playing time until 1991.

How do you know? Are you privy to Big East football? Because everything I've heard leads me to believe he will be picked up right away and could even make a team. There doesn't seem to be a negative to bringing him on. I just don't think he will sign here with Kaepernick assuming the heir apparent role. Makes more sense to go to Miami.

Well, of course I don't "know". The biggest factor is he was not drafted. QB's who have any chance of developing into something are usually drafted. Especially in a year where no undrafted players can be signed until an uncertain date. Not saying this is guaranteed, but if we are going on what is probably going to play out, I would put money on Froman never seeing an NFL field. If any team was seriously looking at him they would have taken him in the later rounds of the draft. He is nothing more than a camp body unless he pulls a miracle.

I've seen Froman play, didn't stand out as exceptional at the college level to me. The biggest factor is he was not drafted. QB's who have any chance of developing into something are usually drafted. Not saying this is guaranteed, but if we are going on what is probably going to play out, I would put money on Froman never seeing an NFL field. But if it comes down to it, would you want him on the practice squad or as the 3rd string? I would.

Keep carr, if for some reason alex and CK get hurt, carr can come in and stink up the joint and we would be sure of getting LUCK.
