I'd take Ziggy over Ginn. I think Ziegler is the third guy.

it will be intresting to see who is after crabtree and morgan
3rd WR position will be a 4 way battle between kyle williams ziegler and ron jon and ginn
my early favorite is ziegler he is a great possesion WR and runs great routes (just needs to bulk up a bit)
however seeing as we have 5 spots if someone beats out ginn as PR/KR like culliver or kyle williams he is gone

Now that we have a new receivers coach we will get to see if there are any changes in Ziggy and the rest of our crew.

zig is underrated and we still don't have a real #1 WR

He is still on this team because he refused to be ignored and outworked... my guess is that he works into the game plans.
What I wouldnt give for a summer WR battle so we can get a good read on who will fill out that side of the depth chart.

Zig is money, but the guy just can't stay healthy.

1) Who exactly are the "most" players and coaches that have said Zeigler is the best WR we had on the field last year and where are these accounts located?
2) Zeigler has never done anything remotely special in the regular season or pre-season in three years. He's had 15 receptions in three seasons. He's almost had more injuries than regular season receptions.
Every team has its Zeigler. They're guys that coaches keep on the bubble of the roster because they like them, and fans insist are more talented than they are. Our "Zeigler" for the last few years has been Jason Hill. Before that it was Taylor Jacobs. After Zeigler it will be somebody else. The "under appreciated bubble guy" is a slot that needs to be filled in the mind's of fans. That's it. There were plenty of people who served that role before Zeigler and plenty of people who will after him.
Saying that Zeigler is a better WR than Crabtree, or Morgan, or Davis because he's the current guy who has gotten longer than usual to hang around at the back end of the roster is asinine.

Anyone think Kyle Williams might develop? I really liked him before his injury but I still don't know if the niners are gonne be running an offense where he could be successful. Doesn't look like it IMO.
