Do 49er fans live in the past more than any other team?

When you have had:

5 SB's
Arguably the GOAT @ QB followed by a HOF QB
The GOAT @ WR
The GOAT @ Safety

And they all happened to play in the same era I would say we became spoiled as fans

Spoiled or not, that is not the kind of past you should easily forget.

Hell yeah I agree. You cant be a niner fan and forget anything from our past. It should be placed on a mantle and just looked at every once in a while just to see how great we used to be. But thats where it should end.

Leave that era of greatness, and focus on how things are now is my advice for most. We are not those teams, and never will be again. Whatever new chapter we have will never be able to be compared to those 5 SB's. so thats why i think there should be no comparisons whatsoever.

If you can deal with what we have now, and only add in the past to say we'll get back there, then you have moved on. BUt if every time some people look they are comparing this player or that player, this coach or that one, this offense or defense against the past, then thats where I think they are stuck in the past.

I mean it's like a girfriend in college compared to the beautiful wife you have now. (If she is beautiful, lol.) You had the girl in college that maybe could party all night and long, and maybe even do things you could only dream of. Then college is over, and you guys break up. You meet your wife, and she's beautiful, smart, and has a wild side too... Except she's maybe 27-32, rather then 18-22.

Now is it bad if every once in a while u say to yourself, damn i remember college boy. Damn, those were the days. (thats recognizing your past)... But thats where it should end. If you find yourself comparing the two, or even bring it up how ur past girl did this or that, then u my friend are stuck in the past and need to move on and recognize what u have now.

Same with our team and fans. Recognize the past, but thats about it, because we'll never be that team again. Maybe better, or worse, but never that team.
Tied w/ Cowboys
We have to live in the past! If not, we'll end up in the gutter somewhere moping around the streets homeless at night hoping a hooker will give a discount to a Niner fan who's suffered without a playoff appearance in a decade or so. Not that it happened to me last night or anything. Okay, it was me, but it was just that one time...wait, it's every night, but that's all.

Living in the Niner Present is fail. I would rather cherish the memories.

We live in the past because we don't have a present.

The moment we start winning you will see less of the "living in the past."

2000 years of beautiful tradition from Moses to Sandy Koufax....YOUR GODDAMN RIGHT IM LIVING IN THE F#CKING PAST!!!
yes, because were the only team to have incredible success in the past and currently be bad.

Steelers, Cowboys, and Packers are all still winning, the Raiders glory days were kind of split up between cities, and teams like the Redskins and Dolphins werent nearly as successful as us.

every fanbase probably looks back at the past somewhat, but i think our fanbase is the worst. extremely good for 20 years backed by extremely bad for 7 years has that affect.
We have to live in the past. The present is horrible. The future is uncertain.
We have a choice?
I live in the future

There hasn't been much to live in modern times for as a 49ers fan.

At first thought I was like "yeah"...then I realized my crabs itched, and that made me think of Raiders fans. So, No.
