Listen to this guy's rant on the 49ers hiring Jim Harbaugh

I watched the whole thing. I need to punch something.

I hate this guy. Not because he thinks we overpaid for Harbaugh - that's fine if he thinks that, that's a reasonable opinion I guess - but because he's that sports douche we all know. Worst of all, he tries to be edgy by going against popular opinion, but just ends up sounding uneducated and uninformed about the point he's trying to make.

He desperately wants to be known as the "sports guy". He imagines that all his friends will come to him for advice and opinions on all things sports. Even though they never do, he still feels the need to give you his manifesto about how Tom Izzo is the greatest college basketball coach of all time.

He'll try to impress you at your fantasy draft, giving the impression that he has the scoop on all the unknown gems. As other people draft their players, he'll either respond with a "Nice pick, I was gonna get him next" or "Too early dude, waaay too early". Halfway through the season, he's made hundreds of roster moves, saying, "It's not how you draft, it's how you manage!" When he finishes at 5-9, he'll blame the scoring rules.

He'll randomly show up at the bar or your party uninvited, leaving everyone asking, "Dammit, who invited Trevor...". Just when you're making the hot blonde from Chemistry class laugh in a meaningful conversation, he feels the need to interrupt with insults to your favorite sports team. As he rambles on about how Goodell is ruining the NFL without letting you interject, she gets bored and walks back to her friends up at the bar, leaving you alone and feeling all stabby.

He's probably an idiot, and I think Jed made the best coaching move he could've made (I would've been really skeptical with Gruden), but, I can't argue his overall point. Let's not get carried away thinking we've won anything. Yes, on paper it seems like a good move, but, remember the last 6 or 7 years? We get hyped up in the offseason only to be brought crashing back to earth once the season unfolds.

I love the hiring of Harbaugh.

But, until I see some consistent results, I'll chose to be pleasantly surprised instead of let down once again. But, I'll still get hyped up every once in a while, and this guy can go back to Canada.

he's from vancouver, b.c...thats about 2 hrs north of seattle...my guess is he's a seacock fan and cant stand the fact that we dont have a dumbass coach anymore and at the same time is just trying to minimize the impact the hiring will have on god awful NFC west...what a f'n tool
