Trent said if they didn't think Jim was a good fit, that he would not be the coach today. They weren't just going to take him because he was the hot name.

Jim says they are going to do whatever they can to get a QB in here. Either draft, Free agency, or trade.
He said the CBA having an effect on the normal routine of these three options will make it difficult, but they;ll do what they can, when they can.

My bad.
Jim said he will call the plays if he is the best play caller on the staff. If somebody else is better for it, he'll pass the duty to them. He said he allowed Luck to call a play if he felt he called up something good. He even allowed offensive lineman to do the same.
