Looks like there is no official story out there. I was really wondering if some teammate was rating him out.
Everyone appreciates Franky and he should be selfish.

Actually i remember him saying Gore asked it at half time what his stats were, not at the end of a game.

and Crabtree is a top talent that hasn't even scratched the surface yet. Harbaugh, an offensive minded coach, would get the most out of Crabtree, just like Leach did at Texas Tech

its not unusual for a skill position player to want to know his stats. Gore is a team player and wants the best for the 49ers. he is just of the belief that the more he touches the rock the better that he plays and thinks that if he has a good game the team will win. which btw is backed up by statistics that we have a winning record when he has 20 carries or more a game.

ya why would an offensive minded coach want to keep the 2 of the best offensive players he has. of coarse they'll be on the hotseat. that makes sense. no coach has a problem with selfish player (except for McDaniels and look where that got him) Clements is on the hotseat if for anything because of his contract in comparison to his play. with a restructured contract he'll be back next season w/o one he probably wont be wearing a niner uniform next year.

he's saying that since we're 6-10 he's seen as a selfish player.
and that if we were a 10-6 team instead he'd just be seen as the workhorse and nothing more.

Of course he wants the ball. Unfortunately, Sing was aroused by him and catered to his every whim.

And I'm saying we were never 10-6 with him as the featured guy even in his best year. In fact, in his best year, we were one game better, and he was considered a god. So the statement is not based on reality.
If Gore gets a selfish label it's because for all the touches he got, he didn't produce as much as he should have. And despite the lack of success, he still demanded more touches to pad his stats.

I hope this isn't true but Gore is at the stage in his career where WINS should be more important than Stats.

sorry, I didn't know all comments had to be based on reality. My point was if (not reality) this team was 10-6 we aren't talking about it.
