Vernon Davis said many of his teammates played "scared" under Mike Singletary -- more worried abou (him) getting on them than playing 'ball. http://twitter.com/MaioccoCSN This doesn't surprise me at all. He's yanking his starting QB left and right... What does that tell the rest of the team? So glad we're rid of his ass. I think certain players may have been scared. Dont tell me Chilo was scared because he couldnt play any worse if he tried and he had his spot locked up. Sing picked on certain players and had his favorites.....Just to show you how bad a coach he was.

Sing did a good job with Vernon, the problem is that he thought that this approach will work with every player.

Sing was overmatched with the HC job, and he did not have a plan B when Plan A went wrong. That was his demise.

Scared is probably not accurate. But I can imagine a bunch of young players making a sh*tload of money, and realizing they have to play another kind of game entirely with Singletary when thinking about hanging on to a lucrative career in the NFL.

exactly. Sing was one diminsional in everything he did.... and was unwilling to change.
