Like Sing, I think JR would be a horrible coach. I'm pretty sure he would over stress the WRs with outlandish demands of perfection. I'm all for pushing people, but you have to understand that not everyone can be the GOAT. Not everyone is wired physically or mentally like most HOFs. That's what I think Sing didn't understand.

Yes I think JR did a terrible job mentoring DeSean Jackson.

You are kidding yourself if you think Jackson's success has anything to do with Jerry....LOL

Uh.... Sing was/is a GREAT linebacker coach. just sucked as a HC. Dont you think that any great former player would be a great teacher for that position?

As I just stated, no I dont. Have you ever heard the saying those who can't do, teach? I'm not saying it's totaly true, but in the real world just because you're good at something doesn't mean you can teach it. You might know a lot, but that is only part of the equation. You have to be able to relay information in a way that registeres with the person you're teaching. At the NFL level I would almost call it mentoring.

As far as Sing being a great linebacker coach, maybe. I have a pretty good feeling Ray Lewis and Patrick Willis would be great with or without Sing.

TBC, Haralson, Brooks, Lawson, Spikes and a few others I missed didn't exactly set the world on fire when he was directly responsible for them.

OK so heres an example of why I think Rice would be a great WR coach...

Terrel Owens. Do you think he would have been as good as he was without Rice being the other receiver?

That's actually a really good example, but I dont know that you hire a guy based on that alone. I still stick to what I said. If anything I would just like to see him come around more and host clinics or give tips. If he is good with the players then I wouldn't mind hiring him. However, I just dont think he would be good full time.

I do remember hearing Owens speak of JR as a major influence, but I think it was more as an example and standard setter. Of course, I would imagine he picked up helpful tips as well, but still there is a diffrent dynamic between players and coaches.
bruh bruh was garbag anyway ...
It took too long, it's like the McDaniels of WR coaches, he doesn't know how to make talented players to produce, he would choose Ziggy or PJ Fleck over Ginn, Hill or Bryant evr'y time.

Hopes he'll coach high school kids at home in Austin, he's a character judge, teacher and builder, at that level he coukd deliver the best to form better blue chip men.
Addition by subtraction...'bout time!!!!
damn can we fire him before leaves just so we can say "thanks for nothing you bum"
