This year is the result of Sing's offensive philosophy that kept any good OC looking for a job crosses us out on their list. Go back to 2 years ago when he was looking for an OC. No decent, creative OC would want to be under Sing's keep it simple, keep it vanilla, no risk, no turnover offense. They sat down with Sing for an interview and I'm sure they start thinking of running out the door within the first 15 minutes. I understand to some extent Sing wanted to keep it simple for his young offensive guys that had went through revolving door of OCs, but a good experience OC can implement a creative game plan simply and slowly without overwhelming the players.
With his lack of experience and X and O's, he needed so badly to hand over the offense to an experienced OC. Do a 'hands off' deal. But as it was, he got an experienced OC that implemented his conservative simplistic defensive attitude towards the offense in Raye. Too simple for defenses to have any trouble defending and take away.
We should be in year 2 with a good OC by now, which the players feel comfortable executing and making plays. But right now they still look like they are floundering out there on the field.
