This year is the result of Sing's offensive philosophy that kept any good OC looking for a job crosses us out on their list. Go back to 2 years ago when he was looking for an OC. No decent, creative OC would want to be under Sing's keep it simple, keep it vanilla, no risk, no turnover offense. They sat down with Sing for an interview and I'm sure they start thinking of running out the door within the first 15 minutes. I understand to some extent Sing wanted to keep it simple for his young offensive guys that had went through revolving door of OCs, but a good experience OC can implement a creative game plan simply and slowly without overwhelming the players. With his lack of experience and X and O's, he needed so badly to hand over the offense to an experienced OC. Do a 'hands off' deal. But as it was, he got an experienced OC that implemented his conservative simplistic defensive attitude towards the offense in Raye. Too simple for defenses to have any trouble defending and take away. We should be in year 2 with a good OC by now, which the players feel comfortable executing and making plays. But right now they still look like they are floundering out there on the field.

They should have kept Mooch, at least he knew how to coach. I firmly believe that if Hearst hadn't broken his leg against ATL, we would have been playing in the Superbowl that year.

Yeah, that was a huge loss. The offense went through Hearst because Garcia wasn't all that great with the vertical game.

Hill was playing ok with the Lions and JTO worked out for them when Hill broke his finger and they said no thanks lol

Well basically the guy we wanted said no. And we rushed to fill the spot with anyone. Now mike johnson might be a good replacement, but he doesn't have experience. He knows more about x's and o's then sing for sure!

he has no balance. love just lets him throw. Sing was forcing him to run the ball. They compliment each other one guy like to throw, the other like to run the rock.

Are you on another planet???

Chicago has a pro-bowl quarterback and a top-notch running back...and are 30th in the NFL in offense, both adjusted and non-adjusted.

The Martz system only works if you have two pro-bowl offensive tackles that can give your WRs time downfield...its worked only once, and failed all other times.

Let's not forget that MJ is still using Raye's playbook, not his own. He may be calling play's in a different manner than Raye but there was no time to install a new playbook. That will come next spring.

There hasn't been a coach here capable of making a legit decision based on real experience since Mooch was axed.
