if they didn't fire him after the horrific start to the season i if we make a (pathetic) run into the playoffs, sing might be back.. yorks wont fire him, just be on his nuts for making it to post season and likely try to bring in help/support to help him out.. like an experienced (though not that great) assistant and staff or something that can help him coach

this would not have dramatic results though i believe sing will be gone by the end of next season

If this wretched excuse for a franchise somehow puts together a two-game win streak to win the NFC West -- the NFL Commissioner should take the immediate action:

Strip the NFC West winner of a spot in the playoffs and instead award that slot to the team with the best record that did not grab a wildcard spot.

The Tampa Bay Bucs murdered us -- in our own backyard no less -- yet maybe on the outside looking in because of a surprise loss to Detroit last Sunday. Still -- they are far more deserving of a playoff slot than the wretched Niners are.

If the Commissioner can take action to immediately suspend players for any infraction -- he can certainly take action to bring a little fairness to the playoff equation.

While every 49er fan wants a shot at the playoffs -- and I do as well -- all of you know deep in your heart that we have NO BUSINESS going to that dance. We don't deserve it. This franchise is terrible from top to bottom.

Wretched play and crappy drafting combined with bungled front office moves should not be rewarded in any way, shape or form.

Soon someone will bash you for not being a "real fan".

Yeah, I'm used to it.

Seriously -- I think all those locked threads that Mayo started in the Parking Lot were done out of pure frustration. I get like this every year when it comes to the Niners. That could have just as easily been me.

I don't know why I keep coming back here -- but I do.
Why is everyone so sure Seattle will lose to Tampa Bay? I mean Tampa just lost to Drew Stanton and the Detroit Lions. Tampa Bay has been over achieving all year so now they just might be back to form.

And I don't see the Rams beating the Seahawks in Seattle.

Detroit's front 4 is VERY TOUGH and on offense, they are playing with a "nothing to lose attitude". They are not trying to tank the season like a few teams are, they wanted to go out and get rid of that 28 game losing streak on the road (or however many games it was) and they did just that.

Seattle is horrible on the road. they have no pass rush, their secondary is not good besides Thomas, and their offense is struggling to do ANYTHING. Hasselback is banged up, Whitehurst just sucks. Williams and Obomanu are banged up as well

I think that loss to the Lions was a hiccup more than anything else. I don't give Seattle a chance against the Bucs. Tampa Bay will be primed and ready for this one.

Word is Whitehurst will start so maybe that's the spark Seattle needed. Hasselbeck was playing awful the last 3 weeks. Tampa sucks at home. They're 3-4 at home this year.
