put troy smith in there and we're going to the playoffs.
im not saying alex is great but he gives us a better chance to win troy is good against the weorse teams but sucks against decent to good teams he got shut out by tampa bay and teh packers both teams are average to above avg at defense and he couldnt do anything
however against teams with crappy defense he will do good such as the rams and broncos
Sound more like Alex your taking about vs troy. but alex still plays crappy agianst crappy d

We're gonna go to the playoffs and get blown out with personnel/coaches that will be fired (amongst other FO members) amdist mid-January, and f**k ourselves over to the #21 overall draft slotting in April (due to playoff-draft slotting regulations).
Fun times ahead, indeed.

Starting Troy doesn't guarantee anything...it's true he did beat the Rams at the 'Stick. St. Louis ain't the 'Stick...and if you remember the game in SF, the Rams darned near beat us in regulation. It's also true Bradford's been in a bit of a funk...but, a ha, he'll be going up against our secondary. That alone can bring most QB's back to a higher level. Part of me wants to see the Niners beat the Rams...but another part of me doesn't, because winning in St. Louis and then likely beating the pitiful Cards at home would probably mean Jed would retain Singletary, and that's a situation I simply don't want.

Hmmm, who was it that got blown out by the Seahawks, and the Chiefs and couldn't even beat the Panthers?

But I agree, they should start Alex for comparison!

Struggling QB, easy fix play the Niners secondary. I mean we got toasted by Matt Moore and David Gettis.
Who? Exactly

He will not replace Alex because Alex executes the play as drawn without any risky deviation. Sing doesn't like to take risks.
The one decision he could make to make this team better is to replace Rachal with Snyder.
