You're smarter than this. The Sing era was over after the 21-0 loss to TB. We would need to go to the Super Bowl and win for Sing and/or Alex to come back.

i actually think the alex supporters are beyond stupid. troy already beat the rams. what makes you think alex has a better chance of beating them the second time around? alex just played absolutely terrible against the chargers. he deserves to be yanked from the lineup. troy beat 3 nfl teams this year and won the majority of our wins this year. you guys act like those were preseason games or something. for all his shortcomings the man deserves his chance right now. he already beat the rams and the cardinals this year.

You do realize that Troy Smith has gotten progressively worse every game he's played. Can't throw the ball accurately. The only real thing he does is run around and either get sacked or throw it up for a jump ball.

yes, he beat the Bronco's, real tough win, he beat the cardinals because we ran the ball and actually played defense. We beat the rams because of a late pass interference call.

Troy Smith is not an NFL quarterback. He's a backup that is made to come in if the starter gets hurt and try not to lose the game. He's not meant to start games.

I don't want to make the playoffs. We're guaranteed to get lambasted by whomever we play, and we'll be way further down the draft for every single round. It does not improve our franchise in any way. On top of that, can't other teams that want to or already have fired their coaches go and hire the cream of the crop the first day the regular season ends, and then we'll be left with table scraps after we exit the playoffs one week later? Do not want.

That's a good point. But I unless there's a pre-agreed plan in place, I don't think most hires happen instantaneously. We may be behind in the interview race, but I do think that we'll get a good shake at some of the high profile candidates.

I am in favor of Troy playing the final two games. (1) It increases our chances of a higher draft pick, (2) increases our chances of Sing getting fired, and (3) keeps Alex out of harms way until he can get out of Dodge.
