Mark Schlereth on ESPN putting the onus on Alex SMith. Says that the Niners have an effective running game, and there's no excuse for Smith to not take any chances downfield. Bruschi agrees.......says Smith isnt helping the cause.

Mistake, mistakes, mistakes and more mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dropped balls, poor play calling on offense, dropped balls by the defense and a whole lotta of bad penalites.

Look on the bright side, everything that could go bad has already happened...right?

I stopped recording the game so I could record "Merry Madacascar" We weren't supposed to win this game and it shows.

Boy I hate Joe Theisman and what's with the bad dye job Joe? You're not 30 anymore, deal with it!!!
Sigh. And our run game was looking good too. Now we have to go to a passing attack.

It is pretty obvious why the Chargers have the number 1 defense in the NFL, and number 2 offense.

This was simply a bad matchup, and to play it on the road is simply not a fair contest. I called a 37-20 Chargers win, but I completely overestimated the Niners offense in this contest.

The Niners OL has been abused this entire contest. Both ends are flying around the corner, and Rachal has been...himself. Smith really doesn't have much of a shot back there.

well assessed. I think smith, as much as i been critical of him, has done as much he could in this situation.
Well on the plus side this puts the dagger in sing, his staff, the schemes, alex, chilo and nates heart =)
I kind of see this game giving both sides of the issue some ammunition.

Alex fans are correct that he is not the one making bad mistakes (Walker drop, O line has made some bad plays, play calling has been iffy, Dropped INT by Brooks, Penalty by J. Smith) It is clear that this team has tons of issues outside of Smith.

At the same time Smith is not making it happen out there either. He looks too tentative. He hasn't been extremely accurate either. This kind of D is tough for him because he isn't going to take alot of risks, and they are solid in coverage. Also, I hate to say it but Alex may be cursed, I mean how many close calls can go against one team (touchdown, late hit, J Smith) I mean come on!!

WE NEED TO GET THE BALL TO VD. WHY are we running bubble screens to D Walker and not V Davis?

Smith is going to have to come out in nearly benched Smith mode to get us back in to this game but I don't think it is going to be enough

hhahahaha that'll happen.
Time to blow it up and show the coaching staff, Alex, Nate, Rachal, Haralson, M. Norris the door. Enough is enough.
