game tape

this makes me laugh considerably hard every time someone says it.

implying you sitting on your couch watching a recorded broadcast of a game is anything close to 'game tape'...

just say you watched the game dude lol.

What? We're quibbling on semantics now? I only meant to infer I didn't watch it live and had only started my "tape" (actually DVR, if we're gonna get picky here). And as for others saying Willis had only one average game, his play this year is well below HIS average, which of course, is not average at all. Most of it definitely can be attributed to teams keying on him, but there have been games, more than one, where he just didn't seem himself. That's not a knock; more a concern.

Really? What's with the knock on Willis threads lately... He's been an absolute superstar the last 2 years, he has a game where his name isn't called every play and you guys are all over him... Give the guy a break, he's one of the few bright spots on the team!

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

A GAME? How about most of the season where his name isn't called every play.

Superstars show up every game, you don't see James harrison/Julius Peppers not get mentioned at least once per game.

To me it looks like Willis lost a good 10 lbs and that is why hew is getting owned by FBs. Look at him in pads....he looks like an undersized OLB not a solid MLB. Speed isnt everything, especially for a MLB.

Good point, TKO is huge, and doesn't seem to get caught up in the wash or by blocks..
patrick willis is not the problem our pass defense sucks our cb's and safeties are horrible on the donald driver td every member of our starting secondary missed at least one tackle. The worst part was watching reggie smith give up on the play right after he missed the tackle he stops running he stop caring he quit on us out there can we please get taylor mays of the f**** bench

Patrick Willis had a bad game against a good team it reminded me of how bad he played against chiefs this was another game we couldnt stop the pass or run and the defense being on the field all day was tired. I know patrick willis is good but on the other hand our secondary sucks especially reggie smith he missed at least ten tackles and gave up on play after he missed tackle on donald driver 61 yrd td pass. Reggie Smith is the new mark roman why in the hell wont we play Taylor Mays. They say reggie smith is better in coverage but I need a ss to play strong the boy cannot tackle that is the one thing I know taylor mays can do. Our secondary is the slowest in the nfl Taylor Mays ran a 4.3 in the 40 yard dash we need his speed and aggressiveness in the secondary that right now looks like we have no playmakers period.

Might as well play him the rest of the season and let him get the experience.
Willis was tackling the ballcarrier... before the ball was even snapped

Willis = BEAST

Takeo played a great game. He made 17 tackles, including assists, and knocked down a pass way down field. Patrick did not play that well. I don't think they keyed on him more than other teams have. He looked sluggish. He didn't make mistakes but his play was average.

idk if i would say takeo played a GREAT game, maybe a good one. 17 tackles is pretty good but i would often see him either miss a tackle or wait for the offensive player to come to him and then MISS a tackle, he did fine but def not a great game just because he had a lot fo tackles

I agree 100% with this.

TKO missed tackles, can't cover, and is slow as hell. Misleading stats IMO.

Just watch the film...you'll see.

It's normal for good players to have bad games once in a while.

clay matthews had 4 tackels as well....so the best players on both teams, did the same thing....
