Westbrook is now the workhorse. Dixon has to do a lot of growing up to deserve more carries. The man dances every chance he gets. Dixon does not plant and cut up field. He tends to stop and stand up. He looked decent last night running in wide open space but Westbrook clearly is the better back. Even on Dixon's TD, I'm convinced that if he just planted and drove his legs upfield then the tackler has no angle/leverage to tackle him. Instead he made an easy TD look difficult with that bad dive.

Look no further than the Jets for your example on how this should be handled.
Thomlinson a thirty year old former stud back gets 70% and Greene, who is well...green, gets 30% to keep LT fresh....

What is one thing that Dixon does better than Westbrook at this point?
Seriously.
(and don't say "move the pile", Dixon doesn't, never has).
Never is a pretty strong word. Watch at the 2:50 mark. Although, I agree, it's a no brainer that Westbrook should start with a little fresh Dix thrown in every now and then.

After seeing Westbrook play last night, I would definitely start him.

Yeah, if the OL blocks like that the rest of the season, it won't matter who's in there.

Start Dixon. If we start Westbrook he will be lucky to make it though 1 game before he gets hurt.

This is our opportunity to move to a RBBC, something we were afraid to do when we were afraid to have Gore off the field.

Actually it's reversed now because LT broke down. Greene is getting the bulk of the carries. We should do the exact opposite. Westbrook is one of the most injury prone backs in the league.
