He made sense getting a 2-5 team to finish 5-4. After last year's 8-8 he should have been fired, that was enough to show he was maxed out.

I liked that he dumped Martz... but i stupidly assumed he had someone in mind to replace him and wasn't going to go on a blind search. Coaches in line for Head Coaching jobs are supposed to have people in mind that they would want to work with and that would work with them.

I will admit it. I was really for the hiring of Singletary because he won us games. I neglected to realize that he had no football smarts what so ever. This will be a valuable lesson to us in that brains will always beat bronze in this league.

That was the first of many WTF moments during the Singletary era. I can't wait until it's over.

Same here. He is so conservative that it handicaps the entire team.

I was sceptical about Sing but I felt that we didn't really have another option with the way the locker room responded to Sing. I remember seeing a video of the locker room absolutely exploding in celebration when Jed announced that he was going to be the head coach the next year.
When he hired Raye as the offensive coordinator I was not very pleased at all. Last season I was impressed with the way he got his team to play well and play some really good teams close but even when we won we never blew anybody out and we got blown out quite a bit.
Coming into this year I didn't think he was a Super Bowl winning coach but I thought we could squeak into the playoffs. I wasn't a Sing fan by any means but I never expected a disaster of these epic proportions.

I was....until he fired Martz. That was really stupid. How is Martz doing with the bears? Yeah much better then we are and he has less off talent.

IMO we all were glad Nolan was gone...we liked the idea of a no-nonsense approach...we liked he was a hall of famer.. but we didnt realize how little he actually knew about the diagramming of plays and gameplanning for different opponents week in and week out...we were blinded by M.Martz(OC) and the strong finish of '08....shame on us
