We can win every game on our schedule except 2. The Packers and the Chargers are games that it would take miracles to win. It comes down to weather we can beat the Seahawks really. If we beat the Seahawks I see them going to 7-9 with their remaining schedule. Then we have to beat the Rams which we already did. Beat the Cardinals twice, piece of cake and were in. Can we beat the Seahawks?

^that.
Your missing the point entirely. "Get real," I am real and regardless of whether you WANT this team to go to the playoffs or not, regardless of whether you want us to win the worst division in the NFL it's still very likely to happen. We have a lot of division games left. Games we have won. The only one that is important however is the one against the team leading our division. By the way if we go 7-9 we will not win the division the Seahawks will. Now can I get some f**king people who are willing to talk logically about a damn football game. Mike Singletary will stop being coach when he does until then you might as well sit back watch with gritted teeth and yell till you can't anymore about being able to guess every play ran on the field and still hope for a win for you team regardless of their standings.
We are 0-4 on the road and still have yet to play SD and GB. I think we finish 7-9 at the very best, which will not be enough to win the division. Yes, it is true, we are not officially eliminated. However, with the way they have been playing lately, I do not know how you can have any confidence that we can string together 6 consecutive wins. I think SEA will get 8 or 9 wins...

David Carr beat the 49ers. If Smith plays the whole game, that's a 3-score win for us.

Why would you want to save Singletary's job?

Only thing that will save his job, is a super bowl win.

this
We don't need 6 wins to win the division, we need 5. With that said it comes down to losing against Greenbay or San Diego, winning twice against the Cardinals, Once against the Rams and once against the Seahawks. I guess I did the math wrong we have to beat the Seahawks and either the Packers or the Chargers to go 8-8 and win the division. If we go 7-9 and beat the Seahawks the division is probably still ours though. Don't know how that would work if us and the hawks have tying records and have beaten each other once. So the season still comes down to the Seahawks.

the seahawks and rams are going to win today so that pretty much wraps up the hope

Like the 1st 5 games Smith played this year... Yea, that Carolina game would have been in the bag.. Whatever
this season is done, we got blanked by the f**kin bucs, beat by a winless Carolina team, smashed by a decent chiefs team, seahawks owned us? we still have the pack and chargers and a bunch of mediocre teams. these mediocre teams are the teams that we usually lose to. we will play the packers and chargers close and lose and get routed by a few teams we should have beat. Sing will be here til years end, we will be close but not close enough to draft luck so we will have to trade, we will get him and his coach from stanford and continue this conversation next year when we win the NFC West by a huge margin in Harbaughs first year.
