I do think you're right, at this point they must realize that there's a lot riding on this offseason and that there's no room for error. In that respect, I suppose we can look forward to competent football next season. Hell of a price to pay, though.

In life Im usually a positive person, in football Im very critical and never felt this group was anything special. They lacked talent in key positions of the franchise.

Im just trying to stay hopeful for a brighter day ahead.

1.5 good games from Troy made me positive until we over simplified our running game against the 29th worst rush defense to the point where we were shut down.

fitspatrick is doing decent in buffalo, enough that i think they would stick with him and address other needs.

Carolina has clausen, who maybe they believe with a year under his belt and a different coach could be better.

I think if we want luck we got him.

We hopefully ended the Alex Smith era!

We resigned Willis!

That's about it...

It's hard to be positive about the future because our front office has shown nothing to give us confidence that they will make the right decisions.

Who to f*ck is going to be our QB? A rookie? yay!!! Another rebuilding year. Guys like Bradford don't come out every year.

Only positive is no one has been killed this year.....yet. And there might a lockout so this franchise won't lose a game next year. Although you never know with this franchise. Getting shut out at home with 180 yards of total offense is worse than the '04 and '07 seasons. Not even those teams pulled that feat off.

we are seeing the reality of the learning curve---we see it with the o line, the young players on D, the quarterbacks, the young owner--Jed.

the learning curve has two main endings---someone learns and gets better or someone is proven incompetent.

Singletary, alex smith have been proven incompetent.

The o line----we will know better by the end of the 2011 season--what a mess that is if it is also proven incompetent.

Jed---he will be the deciding factor---if he can learn--the Niners have a hope for the future---if he is proven incompetent---all is lost.
