With Today's Loss, Does Alex Smith start next week?

So we give Troy one loss, Carr 1/2 game (which was too much) and Nate preseason but put Alex back in after 5 years? Can some one please explain this logic to me!

this^
Troy was extremely lucky against Denver, you cannot deny that. At the same time, he's made some tremendous plays.

Overall, I don't think it matters. Both are capable and I like both players behind center, but if the rest of the team and our horrific coaching can't help them, it won't make a dang bit of difference who plays quarterback between the two.

Troy is a good backup qb and we should keep him on the roster. He was okay against poor teams and had a bit of luck on his side, which we really needed but thats over now.

It should be obvious now, even to all the Alex haters, that the real problem with this team is the Oline and the playcalling.

The problem for Sing now is that his theory about going with the hot hand just went out the window. What will poor Sing do? "look at more film"

and Alex did?

He couldnt beat the hawks, didnt even crack 200 yards against the raiders.

He didnt light it up against the panthers either aside from the 1st pass.

So people say Troy looks good against bad teams.. Well, Alex Smith looks good maybe once a year.

And people want to go back to him?
I'm trying to figure out what exactly is starting Alex Smith supposed to accomplish for this team. It certainly can't be winning, because we have 40 plus games to support that he's not capable of doing that vs. the 3 that Troy Smith has played in. If Alex Smith plays, maybe we lose this game 21-17 or 21-20 instead of 21-0. Alex Smith is good enough to get you beat. It probably wouldn't hurt our draft chances any by starting Smith however, so in reality, who cares.

Maybe we ride with Smith and let Troy sit and be the number 2 guy. That way, he can learn the playbook, get a few reps in practice, and be prepared to keep the seat warm next season for a few games until our rookie QB is ready to start.

With that game plan and play calling? The results would have been the same or worse.
I think Carr should get the start.

;-)

we need some "Luck"

Gotta love this board....
Don't give a f**k. To be honest, I would start a canned ham at QB until this piece of sh*t offensive line proves it can keep a 4 man rush from eating their lunch every week. Embarrassment is the word I keep reading and I think that's accurate.

how???, thats just a stupid statement lol, 0 points is 0 points, cant go negative, it would be the same even if the QB throws for 10000 yards and doesnt point up any points

Hey genius, if the Buccs score more than 21 points, which is more than possible with the turnover machine that we call Alex Smith, that makes the results even WORSE. What part of that is too much for your brain to process?

"That's just a stupid statement" is inciting. Do what you have to do.
Who really cares who starts at QB? Rattay, Hill, Pickett, JT O, Smith x 2. It doesn't matter. This team sucks from the top on down. A draw on 3rd and 4? Really? You haven't establised a run or passing game and the most effective play you can call in that situation is a draw? My only hope is that Uncle Eddie sits little JY on his knee, slaps his little behind a few times and tells him to wake up and get some qualified football people to riun his franchise, a real x's and o's coach and some up and coming coordinators and position coaches.

yeah, if you want us to pick top 3 in next year's draft...........which actually might not be a bad idea.
