Joe Staley is hurt AGAIN! This is major for us unless Sims can play as well as he did last season. I guess we're about to find out.

Quote:
49ers LT Joe Staley fractured his left fibula in the team's Week 10 win over St. Louis.
The good news is the injury is not in any way related to the PCL and MCL tears that cost Staley more than a month last season -- those tears were to his right knee. The bad news is that San Francisco will likely have to turn to journeyman Barry Sims at left tackle going forward. Matt Maiocco of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area puts Staley's timetable at "4-6 weeks." According to Pro Football Focus, Staley had given up just two sacks and six quarterback hits all season prior to Week 10

Can Simms come through with another relief performance?

You know what, Wragge played real good at LT, id say let him get reps and maybe play and rotate with Sims.

I'd let Simms start. Only start rotating if he struggles. Like how we are handling Rachal. He plays 2 series then Snyder comes in for 2 series. Wash, rinse, repeat.

They said 4-6 weeks on 49ers postgame. So basically it's back to Sims for the rest of the year.

If Barry Sims can play the way he played last year when he filled in for Staley i wouldnt care to see Staley back for the rest of the season he really hasnt been on his mark this season
