does he really? Why does it take him so long to learn a system then? I think he's slow and methodical and very process oriented, and he will eventually understand it very well, but that's not good enough for the NFL. He's also highly conservative and might coach the same. He might be a good coach, but I think it takes him too long to learn the x's and o's and he wouldn't have a special ability to motivate anyone either.
You already know which players have coaching potential because they are already coaches on the field. I've never heard that about Smith yet.

Those who can do, those who can't coach! so yea, I was a pretty average player, but I think I'm a pretty good coach. Anytime Alex want's to he can coach youth football!

He would never make a good coach. He doesn't know how to adjust on the fly. He would probably devise a SAFE plan during the week and then be flustered as soon as it didn't go as scripted.
He also would be like Norv pushover Turner.

70% of you are clueless. He has zero leadership skills and can't command a huddle...how the f**k could he be a respectful coach?

[b]When he calls our plays, we're down by 10 or more points and the defense is in prevent mode.
Not always...2 minute drills? Such as against the Saints earlier this year? I personally think he does real well calling his own plays, too bad he only does that 2-3 minutes a game tops

I really can't believe that 70% of respondents voted 'yes'.
