The two roughing the qb penalties

I've been watching football for a long time and those two penalties were the worst penalties I have seen. If your gonna call those penalties your just not letting the defense play. What's a defender supposed to do if the qb lowers his head and the defender makes contact with him. Getting to the qb is so difficult as it is and now they make it so difficult because you can't touch the qb anywhere. The NFL is ruining the game, you can't play football if your gonna make those calls. This pussifacation of the league is ruining the game I love.

Agree. The one where Manny got flagged was far worse of a call.

I mean, are you f**king kidding? He DUCKED into the contact and was pleading his case before the play was even whistled dead almost. Orton's a little b***h.

They should just change the rule where if the defender touches the QB, it is a sack.

That is basically what the NFL wants anyways.

The players are bigger, stronger and faster than ever. They need all the protection they can get. Can you imagine players like Willis playing with rules from the 50`s? People would DIE!!! At one time face mask grabs were legal too.

then why dont they play two hand touch? orton was gonna get hit clean by lawson and he ducked so his head would touch manny's arms and he got a penalty for it. this is ridiculous.

That's what really stuck in my craw about the penalties. Orton seemed to be inducing the contact with his head, in effect gaming the rule.

I'm sure the league will have to do something to put the breaks on a rash of induced roughing penalties.

You cant hit the QB in the head. It`s a good rule. I dont like the call but the rule is sound, Sh!t happens!

You cant hit the QB in the head. It`s a good rule. I dont like the call but the rule is sound, Sh!t happens!

if they dont want QBs getting hit they should say theyre sacked on contact and completely kill football all together. with all the new contact rules offensive players need to be better actors than players. i agree they shouldnt be able to kill the guys but a little hit like that to get a penalty was ridiculous.

The rule reads you cant make contact with a blow to the head. So I can understand some of the calls even though I dont agree with them. What about the Vicious hit Manny had on Orton when he came free up the middle. That was a big time hit yet no flag because it was clean. The qbs get their asses kicked on nearly every play. I`d like to see you try it!

I'm glad the flags were thrown of both of those. Both hits were vicious, uncalled for, and have no place in the game.

Nah, just messin'. Bunch of p*ssies in the league office are ruining the game. The officials owe us a Godd*mn apology letter on Monday.
