Is Willis hurt?

Or does he just seem a step slower within the recent weeks? Last time I remember him making big time plays was on MNF vs. NO. Could he be hurting and playing through it like most NFL warriors do during the season?

I mean McCoy was running all over us. We're pretty stout vs. the run but Philly was getting good yardage on 1st and 2nd down and with Oakland coming to town I wonder if Willis could be hurt. Oakland can run the ball when they're healthy.

yeah broke his leg in nine places but he's so tough no one knows it and is still faster than 95% of all line backers

I wonder about that as well. He seems slow and very tentative. I was excited watching him during preseason when he was tearing it up. Maybe one of the Matt can shed a light on this.

is bowman hurt? He got juked by kevin kolb for an 18 yard gain on a 3rd and 17.

can't believe he bit on the pass fake when Kolb was already like 10 yards past the LOS

Willis ain't hurt, he just isn't getting protected because Franklin was getting jacked on the line most of the night. The NT wasn't doing his job in a 3-4 scheme and that's a huge problem for us.

I like Bowman, but please keep his ass off the field for now.

I don't know -- but I do agree he's not as effective this season as he's been in past seasons.

If he's hurt -- you're not going to hear about it. Not unless the injury gets to a point where he can't practice or play.

But he's nowhere near the dominant player he once was. I would hope that it wouldn't be because he finally "got paid" in the form of a fat contract.

The entire defense is not playing to the level they were last year. Line play has been mediocre at best. The secondary gives up huge chunks of yardage. We're still not getting a decent pass rush push -- so yeah -- the problem is more than just Willis.

But he's part of that overall decline in play.

I think Willis looks bigger this year, and it might be slowing him down. I thought his neck looked huge in that espn pic that came out recently. He looks more like a tank out there than the cat quick linebacker we're used to seeing.

My guess is he's hiding an injury. Probably a ligament tear.
