I noticed Willis was a bit slow... not sure if it had anything to do with him chasing Desean Jackson when I made my observation.

Here the deal i still semi support Sing and Smith. This is what I do notice. All of our coaches need to step up by calling more agressive on both sides. More blitz and bump and run and WAAAAY more spread offense. We will not win with gore as our priority. Gore will make plays as long as we get the ball in his hands but we need to spread the ball to our WR and TE our strongest points VD and Crabs showed what they can do when this happens. Alex Hate him or not Did play very good in the spread last year and the 3 times we have used it this year in last minutes of games he does make plays. At this point Sing must trust Alex and let him do his thing if we want ANY chance to compete. The whole team is a mess and needs to improve as a whole from coaching to players BUT this is the best option we have right now and the best way to win spread the ball and let alex run the offense. If not we will lost against Oak and i will choke a b***h.

Gore isn't overrated, I believe our offense is.

Lets see what's being built around Gore:

1. Inconsistent QB

2. Two rookie O-lineman that are still getting acclimated to NFL speed and learning a new offense.

3. A HC that's unimaginative in how he wants to attack a team, pretty soft and conservative if you ask me.

4. A HC who fails to fix one of the problems on offense at RG. Its pretty obvious our offense works better with Snyder there at RG, how Sing continues to miss that I have no idea.

Now I'm not saying that Gore shouldn't be at fault, but notice his errors mostly happen when the O-line doesn't get push or continue to miss assignments?? Do you guys actually see the holes this guy has to work with?? If LB's are getting to Gore, that means our O-line isn't getting to the second level, notice how Patrick Willis is being taken outta the game by opposing O-lineman??

Sometimes I wish we used the pass to open up the run, but again, its hard to execute that when your QB plays scared and inconsistent in the beginning of the game.
We know Singletary is stubborn. Last year, Gore was stymied, then would rip off a couple of 60 yard TD runs. Next we hear Singletary explaining that you have to keep running up the gut because eventually Gore will cut loose on one. Then I read that Singletary went to Johnson this last week and made sure he did not forget the run (called meddling with the OC). So that explains why we remain predictable with our run game - it is Singletary calling the shots.

As for Alex, in the past he was noted for being careful with the ball - to a fault. What I think we are seeing is that he is under a great deal of pressure because our OL is not good yet (some of us predicted this would be the case, even with our draft). It appears that Alex feels that he must carry the offense and, in trying to make something happen, he sometimes tries to do too much, as opposed to taking the sack or throwing out of bounds - something he did more of in the past. Of course, this leads to doing ill-advised things when you are acting instinctively. In ths way, he is starting to resemble JTO. Of course, he needs better protection, but moreover, he needs to pull it in at the right time. Maybe he will never develop the right balance, and then again, he might.
I agree on the Willis assesment. Regardless , i think he is still playing like the best LB i n the league. He will get a sack when we blitz him and he eats up the run, but on outside runs and vs the pass, he does seem a bit "slower" then the last few seasons.. and in 5 games, ive seen him lose more foot races to the outside and get juked more than the previous 3 seasons..

been saying this Dixon might not have been a first round pick Iupatii and dez

we only lost by 3 points after 5 turnovers. we gave the game away just like we gave it away to falcons, saints and seachics....

alexis is weak.

we need to cut off the bell cow's (franchesca gorey) ankles. she is no longer any good... chop off all of HER limbs.. the bell cow fumbles too much!

grandma in a hoveround can run circles around members in our secondary!

singletary has a gross fetish for alexis and it's making me sick to my stomach!!!

PS: SHAUN HILL (the ugly woman i voted out) WON WITH THE LIONS TODAY!!!!!!

DETROIT LIONS, YOU HAVE COMPANY...... 0-16 HERE WE COME!!!!!!

if you pay attention to fine detail (something singletary needs to learn -fine detail), it has been edited several times, so it's not just a regular copy/paste gig... my next edit will be on "SHAUN HILL (the ugly woman i voted out) WON WITH THE LIONS TODAY!!!!!!" i will have to change "TODAY" with "SUNDAY" and probably add a couple of more punctuation marks

That could be it. I definitely think its an injury or something, there's no way his play would decline this much otherwise

He doesn't look like himself, that is for sure. Still.....he's better than most ILB.

i got money on that he'll stil make pro bowl :) league is on his sack!!
I don't know if its necessarily an injury to Willis but I have been noticing that Aubrayo Franklin has been sucking ever since he returned to the team. I see Franklin more often than not getting put on his a$$ whcih may be allowing the oline to get to Willis. I definitely saw that in the KC game. Franklin has not played like he did last year which was a contract year for him. Is he dogging it? I dunno but the defense is gonna be ineffective he continues to play like he has.

lol what a moronic post. Every season Gore produces with the mediocre garbage we throw at QB.

Gore is overrated this year man. It's time to face facts. He's not a big play threat at all anymore, and his quickness and balance just aren't there anymore.
One thing that isn't being pointed out enough, is how many 3rd and longs we put Alex and the Offense in. These runs and negligible plays on first and second down kill any possible rhythm from developing and are a recipe for disaster no matter who you have under center.
most of it is right, except for staley he doesnt always look solid. Id say the whole line is weak!

We ended up a ton of 3rd and long situations. our o-line was garbage too bench rachal. frank and his ball control was a joke. too say alex is the only problem is ignorant

I agree.
