you took the words right out of my mouth. it's been 6 years and you need ANOTHER look?

yours truly,

sam bradford

lol, I guess 6 years isn't enough? The Alexcuses fans need a whole decade to decide. YAY mediocrity!

That was the straw that broke the camels' back for me.

I watched a couple of games with Bradford.

DUDE IS A BADASS

Already better than A.Smith IMO

I disagree..... if Smith were actually mediocre, we'd be further along now than 0-4. Mediocre QB's tend to be game managers and are reliant upon the other tools that the team has... (see Jim McMahon, Trent Dilfer, etc). Though you could make a case that Alex Smith is a game changer........ for the other team!

Alex Smith sucks. He isn't even mediocre.

+1

That speaks about his ability of a QB, but it also shows he isn't the only one dragging this team down.

Then again, that's based on Singletary's prehistoric vision. We all know that the QB IS the most important person on the team.

49ers fans = Jetsons.
Singletary = Flintstones.

Let's hope Singletard can put his Bedrock philosophies behind him....

Thats what I'm talkin about. We have been without talent at QB so long that even half our fans are waiting for Alex to "get good"? It dont work that way, he had to be good already when we drafted him, he wasnt, and we are training him like he never played QB before. There has to somebody in the NFL that we can get our hands on to "run" this offense, salvage this season, and Alex will just be a bad memory.

Philadelphia games is do or die.

If the game is lost, our season is over and he should be gone a.s.a.p.

I've been not necessarily a supporter or Alex, but didn't believe the weight of all the defeats should be on his shoulders; if he loses this game it speaks volumes.

maybe some of us come off as if we blame him 100% for our loses....I'll just speak for myself.

I don't put all the blame on him....actually I just think he doesn't do enough for us to win games...and I value the QB position sol highly that if that is not happening then I want to move on... I don't mind interceptions early in games, as long as he fights back and helps us win a game.

I don't expect 300 yard passing games....in fact I believe Shaun Hill and Rattay used to have games where they threw for like 200-250 yrds with 2TDs but their ratings were around 100...and they played well enough to win, despite if we lost because of other problems...

imo, I just think it is unfair to the other players who are playing on a high level or trying to....or just a normal level...lol.

I think other players get unfairly blamed for Alex's struggles....like say the Oline...no Oline is perfect, but to me they block well enough for Alex to get rid of the ball...or for him to still step up in the pocket, just for a second longer to find the open man.

same thing with the receiver....they used to catch alot of flack around here....even when we had Issac Bruce...people around here were saying, they need to get separation...because Alex was either throwing the ball too late and the cbs were able to break things up....or Alex would check down., even when he had time.. (and forum posters who went to the game would post later in the night how there were receivers running open)

but when Shaun started, he was making Bruce look like he was semi young again..lol...had Bruce school the youngins on the Buffallo Bills on the road. Because Shaun had great timing on his passes...even if they looked like ducks sometimes.

so, am I saying Alex plays like this all the time?....no...but I, imo, it happens way more than it should especially after 6 years of playing or watching from the sidelines.

I think there is an extra energy that a QB can bring to a team....imo, I saw that when Shaun was successful here early on.....as well as with how the Rams are playing....it seems they are feeding off Bradford, offense and defense. I just don't think Alex brings or shows that on a consistent level...if he just plays average through out the year and we make the playoffs, I still would hope we would not give him a huge contract....one that his Agent might push for, just because Alex Smith took the 9ers to the playoffs in the NFC West. He needs to dominate for a big contract.

I haven't seen any of the games -- but the highlights are enough to scare me to death.

He's going to be beating us silly for the next decade because of this infatuation we have with Alex Smith.

The Reams made a great move with that pick. Things can certainly change of course -- but he looks good so far.

FEARLESS FORECAST: The Reams will win the NFC West. It will be the first of 10 straight titles for Mr. Bradford.

Wow Bill. I can understand and appreciate frustration, but seriously?
Let's just face it, Smith can't make key NFL throws.

1. WR post/seam: Smith just can't get it between the trailing CB and the upcoming FS. This is why we run a lot of drag routes that are infront of the CB and away from the FS.

2. Smith is not throwing an accurate deep ball.

3. Smith cannot improvise. When I say improvise, I mean he just doesn't have the throwing ability to see and "Oh s**t! Broken coverage downfield!" and make that throw in an instant. He must be set as defined in the book of QB and must have room before he can even make the throw. By that time, it's too late.

4. Smith has not shown the ability to make correct post-snap reads, hence all of the checkdowns. Did you guys see the analyzing of Kolb's play this Sunday and his unnecessary checkdowns where he misread a lot of open receivers? That is what happens when a QB checks the ball down too much.

With Bradford, they will be a contender for some time. Yet, we have everyone their momma say we will win the division....IF Alex Smith plays better.

This has been said for a couple of years now and, for some reason, he's still not the reason why we lose but those same people say the same "if" prior to every season.

Could happen. It will kill me if it does -- but look no further at what Joe Montana did for the Niners against the Reams starting in 1981. The Reams OWNED US during the 70's. We could never beat them. In fact, you could mark it on your calendar as an "automatic loss."

And then -- in '81 -- everything changed. And Joe Montana went on a ten year run of beating the Reams twice a season and winning a boatload of NFC West titles.

So -- yeah -- it's happened before.

But NFN -- it's probably some frustration talking too.

I'm surprised that only 46% are in support of this NO MA'AM Club. Alex still has a considerable amount of support that I find both surprising and disturbing.

Wow that is a pretty bold statement.
