Yeah Alex Smith isn't playing very well. But Crabtree needs to stfu and produce instead of complaining to the media. It's the same damn story of him not owning up to his mistakes and blaming everybody else.
He's tripped multiple times on his routes, ran the wrong routes, tipped pretty catchable balls up into the air for interceptions, used his neck injury as an excuse to get out of practice and preseason, and didn't learn the playbook. When VD calls him out on his bulls**t work ethic he starts crying like a little b***h. Crabtree has sucked ass and he has the nerve to call someone out to the media. Lol.
I don't care how sucky of a QB Alex Smith is, when you aren't holding up your end of the bargain you don't have any room to talk. Also, it's highly unprofessional to start dissing your players in front of the media.
Yeah you guys like him now because you like anyone who talks s**t about Micahel Crabtree, but I find WR who because of a promising half season strolls in here thinking he's made it and doesn't need to study the playbook, practice, acts like a baby, is unaccountable for his mistakes and now exhibits unprofessional behavior the one who needs to be called out.
They were right. Crabtree is a diva. And he's not even that good either. Looks like another wasted pick for McCloughan and Co.

Smith has way better numbers with everyone else.
Also if Tree DID take a shot at his QB, I think that it is indeed time to trade that buffoon. He's good. But he doesn't have the cred to make those kinds of statements. I mean seriously what has he done that his counterparts haven't? Oh wait I know, he only caused 4 Interceptions to start the season with.
Not even Frank has caused that many.
I still don't know that Smith is the answer but Tree sure as f@k ain't.
If he's not benched he seriously needs his ass kicked. Vernon might do it for sh!ggles.

So you would trad Tree because he called a spade, a spade. Incredible. There certainly are more losers around than yer boy and savior Smith.
Mangini was right.

Yeah im laughing in this forum cuz those that are like yeaaah he called out the QB im saying to him, s**t, look who had to call him out for being lax and not putting the time in. I mean he talkin about Smith, when in all reality had he had his ass in the pre-season, then they could of worked on the kinks that a star WR and Qb should have. He was called out by VD, and the head coach.
But nah, he sat on his ass, and his teammate called him out. And not too mention he has yet to own up to why or adress that his time out the huddle hurt the chemistry. But nah, takin a shot, after u fell back all pre-season.
Just like Marshall when talkin about Sterling Sharpe. LIke most commentators said Marshall is good, but make sure u got something to stand on, when u talk s**t. In my opinion, Crabs hasnt put the work in to be the no 1 receiver, and because of that some feel he's annointed the best on the team because of his draft position. Aint knockin the kid, but when u catch everything in your presence, stop slipping, or tipping the ball in the air, then we'll take sumthin serious from his mouth.

Well, what do we know about Crabtree?
He dogged TC with a "neck injury" and spent very little time practicing with his quarterback. It got so bad that a team captain called him out and the team cheered him for doing it. Then he shows his lack of practice, and guts, by cutting off routes, short arming passes and not holding passes that $20 MILLION player should routinely hold.
Now this diva is being hailed as doing something positive for the team?
Hate on Smith all you want but a MAJOR portion of this team's offensive problem spin around Crabtree and his lack of work. Don't deify this dog.
Until he does something of merit, he doesn't deserve air time.

Couldn't agree more with the last few posters. Crabtree hasn't earned the right to say anything bad about anybody, esp his QB (regardless of whether it's true!). In fact, just the opposite. And those of you who feel it's ok to diss your teammates in the media either never played as part of a team or didn't deserve to. Crabtree is the definition of someone who lives in a glass house, ie don't be throwing stones, dude! He needs to shut up and work on his game, cause so far, he hasn't shown he was worth that number one pick, no matter if Chucky Cheese was throwing the ball to him!

LOL that's just ridiculous. Smith sucked before Crabtree got here. Smith sucks when Crabtree is on the sidelines.
Hate on Crabtree all you want but If someone was to do a pie chart on our offensive problems. Smith would be ATLEAST a pac-man size portion of that pie!

I swear some of yall just ignore stuff about cause and effect when it comes to our team. Mainly from the QB position.
CAUSE- Alex's patented high inaccurate passes
EFFECT- Crabtree trying to make a play for Alex, comes down on his neck
OUTCOME- Crabtree is injured and has to miss preseason games.

EFFECT- Vernon Davis trying to make a play for Alex comes down awkwardly on his leg

I think it is understandable to be more cautious about a neck injury than a leg one....I mean even our Doctors said to be careful.

Alex made some good throws to Crabtree and he responded well. His comments, however you want to take them, are symptomatic of a team in trouble. When you're winning, you'll seldom hear any complaints. When you're not, they come out of the woodwork and tend to overshadow any good your team's doing. I think Crabtree should let his play to the talking...but I have to agree Alex needs to eliminate the bonehead plays he's making. Take away his two picks in Atlanta and we win the game fairly easily.

The play yesterday where there was a PI called on the falcons but was taken back because Smiths throw was so bad that it was called uncatchable is beyond belief. Through 4 games he has looked like a rookie this year and his stats back that.
Even though I routinely defend Smith, I am severely questioning if he has what it takes to be an NFL QB upstairs. And I'm not referring to intelligence, more along the lines of gumption.
But Crabtree needs to keep his mouth shut. He is the reason we lost Week 1, and he might be a big part of the reason Smith is losing faith in his receivers and maybe even himself.
Yeah, let's just blame it all on Crabtree.
