Good point. Lets all just sulk, make futile anti-alex smith threads, and talk s**t about our own team. That's manly.

Look at this division. It's a mess. Anderson was pulled, Seahawks only put up 3 points, and the "worst" team at the beginning of the season is looking the best.

Once this team hits its stride, it's going to change the opinions of a lot of people. Who honestly expected a healthy start anyways?

Probably because most of the people, who are really vocal right now, are board vets and we've been veeeeeeery patient with Alex. This a bursting point and we are venting. This is what keeps everyone one from grabbing a machine gun and going nuts. So call this a primal scream thread.

We have an ownership that has consistently tolerated mediocrity by hiring inexperienced management personnel and refusing to bring in someone who knows about football...that's why they also have kept Alex Smith for six years when he should have been cut long ago...

Hindsight is cheap. I agree we should have someone with far more football experience than the jaggaloons running a muck in our front office right now.

Alex Smith is done at this point, but it would have been foolish to cut a 1st overall pick without getting a proper assessment of him. Easy to say it now.

Primal scream or unrestrained monkeys?

Some of these vets are only members on a fan forum with some red boxes near their name; I really don't consider them any better or worse than a regular joe fan.

There are plenty of members keeping their composure. Constructive criticism is what makes this site great, not a bunch of knee-jerk reactions by fans who got their hopes up entirely too easily.

OregonNiner87, you must be some random douche from Oregon that really likes the Seahawks. Does it make you feel more mature and manly to come on this forum and act like you know how to kep your composure better then others? We're off to the worst start in franchise history and you ask for constructive criticism? We need a damn coaching staff overhaul and a new QB. So take your "whoosaa mental-composure inner-energy" bulls**t back to Oregon you loser...

These aren't "knee jerk" reactions. These are the last 6 years coming to a head. Where have you been? Perhaps you may want to watch cricket, or lawn bowling or maybe even curling and join those forums. This is football and football is violent and so is our message boards.

I definitely didn't expect a healthy start, but I sure as hell didn't expect such disarray being 0-4. I was thinking after Week 5 going into the Oakland game we'd be 2-3. AT WORST 1-4. (At best 3-2). Not in my Wildest nightmares did I think before the season we'd still be looking for our first win in week 5.

Disarray? We trimmed some fat: Balmer, Coffee, and Lewis. Raye should have never been the offensive coordinator. He was the last chance pick the season before, and if anyone had balls he would have been replaced earlier this season.

Alex Smith doesn't intentionally ground and Nate Clements just falls down after the INT and we win the game. We don't leave as much time on the clock against the Saints and we win.

This is still a young team. Stop making mental mistakes and we're competing at a whole other level. We have plenty of talent to make up for Alex Smith and win this division.

Don't forget the 6-31 trouncing by the Seahawks and the 10-31 (Minus the last play 3-31) trouncing by the Chiefs. And our two winnable games we killed ourselves with Turnovers. -4 against the Saints and fumbling away an interception that had practically put the game away.

Disarray sums up this season so far. Balmer doesn't show up for practice. Coffee finds God. Lewis walks out mid season. Our OC is fired after 3 games. The team doesn't even look like they have the heart to win.

But doesn't mean this team can't turn it around. The season is still young. One more game for our tough stretch of the season and then comes the bread and butter schedule. Problem is if you can't win close games against tough opponents, those bread and butter teams are likely to get a W against us.

Common perception was that this stretch was going to be the most difficult of the schedule. We've hit a couple of bumps and like I said two of the games were extremely close, the two we were supposed to lose by healthy margins. Quit acting like it's a huge surprise.

The leaders of the toughest division in the NFC almost got their asses handed to them, barring some stupid mistakes.

So you're telling me.

A) Clements doesn't fumble, we win, it's a suck off fest in Ninertalk.

B) He fumbles. It's the end of the world. Fire Singletary, hang Smith, resurrect Nate Davis from the practice squad and lets piss away our season.

By the way, I spent my morning donned in 49ers attire drinking away at a bar and watching one hell of a game we should have won.

A loss is a loss, but we're a lot better off than any of the other 0-4 teams.

Two games behind the lead, facing a primetime home game against the Eagles (probably sans Vick) and we're heading into the easier stretch of our schedule.

Oh because my insults aren't dashed with sarcasm you attack me? Sorry if I get a bit riled up but I'm sick of people saying that we should calm down. The coaching staff is inept. The ownership seems like they may be afraid of Mike Singletary. And we are 0-4. I'm a paying fan with season tickets, I've purchased 4 jersys in the offseason to support the team. Sorry if, as I paying fan, I feel we deserve more...
Fan Buys Jersey, Dictates Front Office Moves.

If we fire Singletary this season is absolutely toast. At this point, we still face a chance.

Maybe. Wecould easily be sitting at 2-2 if we won the Saints and Falcons. But I feel like this season is over. At 0-4 we'll be hard pressed to make the playoffs. I wonder if the team has the mental toughness to climb out of this hole. The way Sam Bradford is playing, I wouldn't be suprised if the Rams take the division. And trust me, no way we get a wild card spot...

Actually it does feel better cause once a team gets in the playoffs anything can happen. Look at the 89 team
