1. Taylor Mays in, M.lewis out. Youth, speed, and it's about that time.
2. Sopoaga out, RJF in. He did a good job at NT, young and can stuff the run. Can also rotate to NT on 3rd. down to help pass rush.
3. Rachal out, Snyder in. This is only until Heitman is back. When he's back then slide Baas over to RG. Rachal should sit the bench the rest of the year.
4. Bring in Westbrook- For screens, 3rd. downs, etc. It cant just be Gore gore gore!
5. Go back to the shotgun offense that lifted us last year. Message to Sing and Raye, the rest of the WORLD knows your "playbook", we need more innovation/change.
Which changes do you agree/disagree, and which would you make ??

I don't know why so many on the zone hate on Sopoaga. The guys is a key to our run defense. While he didn't play great he didnt stink it up. The guy that got his a$$ handed to him today was Franklin. Through the first 3 games Franklin isn't looking too good. I don't know if its not going through camp or he is still trying to get into game shape but he has disappointed me so far. I expected more from a player that is in a contract year and wants a big long term contract. RJF should play more, he had a good preseason and was pushing the center at NT in preseason.

Ive been screaming for Rachal to get pulled since last year. Anthony Davis should get pulled to until he can improve on his pass blocking technique. Sims or Boone can start and do a better job. Davis is getting schooled big time.

Westbrook and Dixon both need to be utilized more.

Somebody has got to step it up and become a dominant pass rusher. Cassell had way too much time to through today.

Most importantly though, the playcalling has got to change!!!!

Its sad but the Niners are looking like the Bengals did after they lost the superbowl to us. Absolutely Horrible!!! It took about 15 years for them to get back to the playoffs.
This is ALL coaching. We have talent. But we just don't use it. We aren't the most talented but we are a hell of a lot better than 0 - 3 and 0 - 4 next week. It's not a lineup problem as much as a coaching problem and an ownership who sticks with this incompetent coaching.

The problem is coaching or a lack thereof.

How did KC attack our "good" run D? They hit the perimeter over and over. Our weak link on run D is any OLB not named Manny Lawson. They went after Brooks/Haralson/LaBoy frequently.

They also put threats on the outside using Charles on one and McCluster on the other and force us to play honest. When they see us over committing to the run they use play action or trick plays to make us pay.

How do we attack teams? Run between the tackles every single time.

Every football analyst knew coming in KC had a stout run D but was vulnerable to TEs. We have 2 dangerous TEs. Well...I think we do because I didn't see a hint of them as part of the focus of the game plan.

I like your points but this one is greatly off...about 90% of the screens have been going to the SAM side and on Manny in particular. The coaches sub'd in LaBoy/Brooks a little more today but screens have been killing us for two years and most of them are on Manny's side.

Agree on all accounts. Sopoaga so far has been our most consistent DE (Justin has been getting pwned lately).
I am officially on the Gruden For 2011 bandwagon!!
I like the idea but its mike singelatry who only wants winners he won't change anything
Singletary hints at lineup changes

In addressing the media in London on Monday, 49ers head coach Mike Singletary said that lineup changes are forthcoming.

"I feel that this week will be a pivotal week for us," he said. "I'm excited to see how we respond on Sunday to some of the changes we'll make this week to try to get better."

He didn't specify, but here are some of the players Singletary could be considering:

-- Right guard Chilo Rachal. Dealing with knee and shoulder injuries, Rachal has struggled with pass protection and run blocking. Meanwhile, backup Adam Snyder has played well.

-- Nickel linebacker NaVorro Bowman. The rookie was called for illegal contact during the Panthers' game-tying touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, and he has missed tackles. Takeo Spikes made the game-clinching interception against the Raiders.

-- Wide receiver Josh Morgan. He missed a key block that led to a 6-yard loss by Anthony Dixon in the red zone against Carolina, and missed on two long passes for possible touchdowns against the Raiders. Diminishing Morgan's role could create opportunities for Ted Ginn Jr. and Dominique Zeigler.

-- Tackle Anthony Davis. The rookie has committed false starts and holding penalties. He also gave up the shoulder-crunching sack that knocked quarterback Alex Smith out of Sunday's game. The 49ers don't have a clear replacement here. The team hasn't been comfortable with Barry Sims at right tackle, though he played well at left tackle last year when he replaced an injured Joe Staley.

It's been a no brainier since week 1 to take out Chilo and put in Snyder. Why they won't do it is a mystery.

Spikes shouldn't come off the field for Bowman unless he needs a break. It always sounds good to get the younger faster guy on the field but spikes is playing good football right now.

Morgan missed his block but it wasn't his block that blew the play up and it was on Dixon not to go so far backwards and just run out of bounds. That play killed the drive and they should have left Frank in at that point. With that said Morgan is far from spectacular and Ziegler should be worked in. But with this poor offense the number 1 wr isn't being used enough so you aren't gonna see any real production out of the number 2 wr. I guess you can work in Ted Ginn but it's already been proven that he isn't a good wr. and it's not like the Niners have supreme coaching staff to coach the guy up to his potential.

Davis hasn't been playing well but playing musical chairs with the o line at this point isn't gonna help. They aren't gonna put sims back there and i'm sure Staley isn't gonna be moved. Just hope the guy improves. somebody tell Davis that he has arms and that he needs to fire them soon as the ball is snapped. And can the niners help the dude more often.

This is all things that a lot of us on the Zone have brought up time and time again. Why doe we wait until 6 losses in 7 weeks is beyond me.

It always happens this way since Nolan/Sing took over. They don't want to see whats in front of them until its too late. Maybe they read the zones complaints and think maybe the fans are right. I will be extremely furious if these changes that we have been asking for are made and the team sees a huge improvement. It would really make me mad because its something that should have been done a long time ago!!!.
i know its too much to ask for a coaching line up change but its something to ponder if just for a moment

The only lineup change needed is the change of ownership group. Change all the players you want. The product is still the same. I will say it till im blue in the face. THIS OWNERSHIP GROUP SUCK. There is nothing we can do about it. DIfferent coaches, different players equal same results. WE as niner fans are sucked into the bulls**t hype.

Sad but true fellas. At the end of the day this team just has inept leadership. Now all the players have realized this as well. No matter how many times they came out in support of sing or Smith in reality the players have lost faith in both guys.
