Those lineup changes are like rearranging the deck chairs while the Titanic goes down.
The problem is coaching or a lack thereof.
How did KC attack our "good" run D? They hit the perimeter over and over. Our weak link on run D is any OLB not named Manny Lawson. They went after Brooks/Haralson/LaBoy frequently.
They also put threats on the outside using Charles on one and McCluster on the other and force us to play honest. When they see us over committing to the run they use play action or trick plays to make us pay.
How do we attack teams? Run between the tackles every single time.
Every football analyst knew coming in KC had a stout run D but was vulnerable to TEs. We have 2 dangerous TEs. Well...I think we do because I didn't see a hint of them as part of the focus of the game plan.

Alex Boone for Anthony Davis possibly... the offensive line was horrible today.
Anthony Davis not only got beat 15 times he got a 15 yard penalty and a few false starts. Rachal got a holding penalty when we could have drove for a 10-10 tie.

Boone, is one of my favorites, but I might start Simms, and Snyder on the right, cut/trade Chilo.
More Westbrook, less Gore, to bad we didn't draft any speed for the backfield, next season, this one is done.

This game was genuine proof why we need Eric Heitmann back at center, and Snyder at RG.

1. Taylor Mays in, M.lewis out. Youth, speed, and it's about that time.
2. Sopoaga out, RJF in. He did a good job at NT, young and can stuff the run. Can also rotate to NT on 3rd. down to help pass rush.
3. Rachal out, Snyder in. This is only until Heitman is back. When he's back then slide Baas over to RG. Rachal should sit the bench the rest of the year.
4. Bring in Westbrook- For screens, 3rd. downs, etc. It cant just be Gore gore gore!
5. Go back to the shotgun offense that lifted us last year. Message to Sing and Raye, the rest of the WORLD knows your "playbook", we need more innovation/change.
Which changes do you agree/disagree, and which would you make ??
Some of these lineup changes are good and while they may lead to a few good to great/big players, they alone won't give the overall outcome we are looking for. The lineup changes need to start with the coaches. To start with the players is saying that this problem starts with them and although they are a big part of the problem, they aren't the no. 1 problem with this team. At our worse, given the talent on this team, they should be about 7-9/8-8. Right now, we are staring down at a top 5 pick.

I like these changes overall. I'm a little unsure about putting Mays in there so fast, but 2-5 are SPOT ON

It doesn't matter who we put in if we just keep calling the same plays.

I have no idea why they started Rachal ... he was horrible today. As was Davis, but the kid is 20 and he's played 2 of first 3 games as a pro AT Seattle and KC, not exactly the easiest venues.
But damn, our secondary looked horrible. They need to give a long look at Mays in my opinion.

Alex smith needs to go.. See what troy smith has for now, until we get a qb next year.
Rachaal needs to go.. hes terrible
Parys Haralson needs to go
Michael Lewis and Nate clements need to go.. only good for tackling
Heyward Bay is a better wr than Crabtree
David Baas needs to go
Singeltary and Raye need to hit the road asap
The Yorks need to give up ownership and hand it over to someone who knows what the hell they're doing
Bring in Cowher or Gruden or anybody that actually knows how to manage the clock.
This team is a damn embarrassment and its really sad how we are the worst team in our division at this point. The Rams and Raiders are better than us!
What's up with Singeltary saying that Raye will stay the O coordinator the rest of the year? Get your head out of your ass Sing.. hes been around for 33 years and had one good year... that's why nobody wanted him as their o coordinator. This team is disgusting. They had no heart out there today and just gave up, just like in Seattle.
